Fantastic distillery tour. Very knowledge and entertaining. I believe our tour guide was James (maybe Jim). Really great tour. Very pleased that we took the time to see such a piece of whisky history. Thank you!!

Decided to make a visit to see the round tower and was not disappointed. Over 100 steps to climb but we took our time and the steps were wide so was fine for passing also there was benches for a breather on the way up, the view at the top was breathtaking.

Fantastic way to explore the islands and indeed spend a day cruising.
The staff are great as is the food served on board.
Today we sailed return from Oban to Collonsay, absolutely stunning scenery.
For just the price of a return footpassenger ticket we had a very memorable day both with what we saw and the lovely atmosphere created by the lovely crew and staff at Calmac,Big thank you to all.

An interesting garden and associated forrest. Well maintained and a wide range of plants with a number of interconnected pathways. The viewpoints have fantastic sea views. The only downside was the very high cost of admission for non members of the National Trust. We are members, and have been for many years, but feel that reasonable admission prices for non members present a much better encouragement for visitors, particularly foreigners on holiday to our beautiful country.

A really nice spot to visit. Situated not far from the main road and easy to find. Plenty parking and the castle itself may be a ruin, but it was still worthy of a visit. The exterior wall is intact but the interior is no more than ruins with a towered roofed section which you go up through to get onto the walk which takes you around the wall of the castle. Still ....... a really historical place that definitely worthy of a visit if you're in the area.
Also, there are ruins if a Chapel in the woods here also.

Great little museum. The staff were really friendly and happy to talk through the story of the castle. Great little trail for the kids. We particularly enjoyed the food at the cafe and the Scottish piper was a great bonus.

A small beach slightly hidden away but a lovely walk. Parking is free the first couple of hours and it’s got toilets, and a little shop not far away.

It was a lovely but very hot walk down from the ferry as we chose one of the hottest days in September - but the tea garden made a good resting place. The castle is a ruin but well preserved for its location. I found it well worth the assent on the hill but my wife felt that would have been a step too far: despite the heat the grass was still wet and slippy and I slipped at one point on the way down The views from the castle are wonderful and the bay below it was a great place to have lunch and a paddle in the sea.

Booked as soon as the timetable opened without any difficulty. Part of a large group travelling to Islay to celebrate a big birthday.

Booking itself was easy and hassle free. Unfortunately our outward ferry was cancelled so we were moved forward to an earlier one. This turned out to be fine for most of the group but wasn't possible for some of our party.

They managed to get a later crossing after contacting the company.

The crossing itself was great, smooth, quick and efficient with plenty of food available, space on board no problem. Some of our party brought a dog and there is space at aside for dogs on one of the decks.

Food as you'd expect, a little expensive but good quality

There was so much to love about this place. Our eight-year-old and our 13-year-old both found things to do in the centre. From drawing to looking through microscopes, they’ve got lots of hands on, engaging activities.
It is quite a small centre, but good for passing an hour.

The café is very good value and serves up tasty food and giant coffees!

We drive an electric car and it was great to be able to recharge this outside while we were enjoying the centre and getting some food.

It is also still through from the Castle around the corner, so you can do both, one after another.
