Such a beautiful house and gardens. We took our dog and she loved walking round the sculpture park and gardens, and me and the husband took turns viewing the house. Staff were all so nice and made the effort to chat and tell us interesting things about the place. We had tea and biscuits at the shed and was very good and decent price. Please note there is a charge on the car park

Lovely place to sit on a bench and/and walk and enjoy the gardens and the boats coming and going from the Basin

We only saw Hall's Croft from the open top bus which slowed down so we could get a good look. The gate looked closed though so don't know if you can go in anyway.

We visited Shakespeare New Place in Autumn, but to get the most from the attraction I’d advise to you visit in the spring or summer to make the most of the garden.

New place no longer stands, instead it is laid to courtyard and formal gardens, best appreciated in fine weather.

However, you can visit Thomas Nash’s Tudor house adjoining, that was occupied by Shakespeare daughter.

The guides are very well versed in Shakespearean history, and they make the visit.

For best value buy your ticket as part of the Shakespeare Story for £25

The Aon Bank gardens and the walk along the river is just beautiful. Bridges and pathways and the river itself. What more do you need?

As a local we were aware of lots of negative views of the planning of the chinese pavilion with the usual 'not in my back yard' bunch of moaners brandishing signs and posters with all sorts of amazingly daft ideas like it was bigger than a Double Decker bus and it would distract drivers and cause accidents - how wrong they were and how stupid they look now. It looks amazing and is in the perfect location nestled perfectly in the trees - its subtle and beautifully made. As a gift to the town from a city in China its something most residents here do appreciate.
