I hadn’t been on a Stadium Tour in 12 Years and thanks to our amazing tour guides Martin & Paul, i learned even more about my club.
The main purpose of this tour was to show my partner and 2 kids the stadium i love, i this tour did just that. We saw all the sights, had plenty time for photos and the sheer knowledge of Martin & Paul was amazing, they are a credit to the club.
We would definitely come back for another one!

This is a bridge across the river in the center area of the town. It’s a nice looking bridge. It looks better at night. Worth a look.

One of our frequent theatre nights, this time for the The Nutcracker, my husbands first ballet and he loved it! We do love this theatre, although being able to book drinks and snacks on line like in other theatres would be an advantage. The staff are always super friendly, The price for two bottles of water was a bit steep but we do get discount on these that softened the blow a little. Will be back soon.

Today, I had the privilege of visiting Newcastle Cathedral and was deeply moved by their profound commitment to social action. From the prayer wall for victims of abuse and the prayer tree to the opportunity to light a candle, every aspect of their ministry radiates intentional compassion. Their café, which provides employment opportunities for ex-offenders and a chance for a fresh start, is a beautiful testament to grace in action.

What touched me most profoundly—both as a human, a Christian, and a Methodist minister—was the dedicated space they provide for the homeless to rest. In the bitter subzero temperatures of a North East winter, this simple yet radical act of hospitality is genuinely life-saving. While such a ministry must come with its challenges, I have not encountered anything quite like it in any other cathedral across the UK. It is undoubtedly a sacrificial expression of their faith, yet it exemplifies the essence of Jesus’ call to love our neighbour and to welcome the poor, the orphan, and the widow.

This extraordinary ministry led me to prayer—lifting up their work, their witness, and the lives they touch daily. Newcastle Cathedral shines as a beacon of light and hope in the city, embodying the gospel in a way that is tangible, transformative, and deeply inspiring.

Great museum free . Only criticism info on the exhibits is extremely small. Could hardly make it out especially with the lighting in the museum. Lot of same exhibits

You will definitely find yourself on this downtown street as it is the absolute center of town with shopping, theaters, and lovely old buildings. A Metro station, some traffic, taxis available.
