What travellers are saying
- Teodora S9 contributionsIt was a nice expirience, but I would recommend Frameless - immersive art experience over this one. Frameless also covers several of Van Gogh works and it is production quality is higher. Yet if you want to go into more detail of Van Gogh and his life, then this one is also quite good.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pamsmith6622Manchester, UK54 contributionsIt was good but not worth £38 per person, booking fee.
The animatronics were fantastic, but I felt rushed through the T Rex bit, which was disappointing.
The gift shop was good but very expensive.
Would recommend it, but I wouldn't personally pay that much to go again.Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a lot of photos from behind the scenes, and some green screen experiences.
The crew is super-helpful and all-knowing as far as Harry Potter trivia goes, and there's a photographic treasure hunt which really enhances the experience.
All in all, it's a great way to pass a couple of hours and enjoy a butter beer :)Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They should have a lost property place where we could collect pur belonging at the end of the exhibition, however it seems they kept it for themselves. I wonder what they do with so many lost mobiles at the ball pit. I’m very fristrated with them keeping something that doesn’t belong to them. I live far from London and they said they would contact me but they never did. I send an email and they never replied.Written 21 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- davidbryant27db14 contributionsArguably the best thing ever invented (Lego) given a whole new dimension. Nathan is so creative and there is some incredible work on display. Fans of Lego must see this. May even inspire you to appreciate more art ;)Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Reasonable50Greenwich, Connecticut3,700 contributionsWe happened upon the event while strolling. Fun and modern. Lots of young people and families. The Somerset House is the perfect venue. It was crowded and exhibits went deep into the bowels of the House. The scented wallpaper room was our favorite.Written 22 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Giselle BaptisteLondon, UK651 contributionsA beautiful experience of being surrounded and immersed in Korean influenced digital art. I think I counted 17 rooms each with it's own unique and immersive experience. One of the best value experiences in London and close to the vibrant Borough Market. Just go!Written 17 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AllanbhoyScotland58 contributionsLet me be honest from the get go, every single piece of information is easily discovered online, there is no 'insight' or any serious thought given to the presentation. It's dull and uninspired, cheap almost.. The information displays apart from some short videos made up of clips are all blown up cardboard photos with text. The actual Titanic artifacts on display are so far and few between it's not worth the ticket price. A piece of coal from the seabed etc. In fact, almost all of the items on display are all replicas or 'Gives you an example of what it might have looked like'. The audio tour didn't work and of course you are guided through the gift shop to maximise further financial extraction potential..long story short - save your money and take a trip to Belfast, I suspect that will be where the real exhibition is located, this felt like a blatant cash grab.Written 14 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SpinkyminkyNottingham, UK795 contributionsI bought this ticket for my husband to go to whilst I was in a show when we regrouped I asked how it was and he said "a lot of fluff with not much stuff" I think there's a decent amount fo stuff from George clooneys batman and some from the joker film but there not that much they have really eeked it out he said it wasn't worth £30 for a ticket he was there about 45 minsWritten 30 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert DNorth Berwick, UK16 contributionsIt's cost me 24 pounds today in Edinburgh to see Van Gogh Alive .
I thought it was ok at best ,non art enthusiasts may enjoy it more , some of the moving animation imposed onto his paintings were quite good ,
The sunflower room was a waste of time .
The concept didn't work for me , big screens everywhere showing much of the same thing ,and the images were not very good quality .
Far better to stage it as a documentary in a single screen arena with narration
to educate the audience .
I stayed for 1 hour , for families the Zoo or cinema would be a better deal.Written 11 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Seemed very photo-op based, in and out in under an hour. Didn’t learn anything new, gift shop was pretty basic. Transport there in the DLR was a piece of cake, but food at the complex there was very mall-fast food vibe. It was ok and reasonably priced for what you got. Altogether a bit ‘meh’.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Natasha_J_SoliarLondon, UK473 contributionsI had to see this "Art of Banksy" exhibition in Regents Street, an exhibition by the owners of all the pieces shown who'd like to share them with us (it's not an authorized exhibition by the man himself yet these are all his authenticated works, for the pedantic amongst us).
What a great exhibition, his humour, early barefaced cheek and spot on political commentary, are even more engaging than I ever expected.
I went off peak at 12.30, though the staff let me in earlier than my ticket time as I was early. It was a leisurely stroll through the two floors and gift shop though there were guided parties which can be done by Banksy experts.
I highly recommend this exhibition to anyone who loves Banksy and his work, Some of his quotes written on the walls were as priceless and cutting as his artworks.
The three photos I've included are all visible from the pavement so I've not shared anything I shouldn't - you are able to take photos anyway which surprised me but I took some beauties.
Nearest tube is Piccadilly Circus {Piccadilly & Bakerloo lines} though as I was early I strolled from Green Park {Victoria, Jubilee & Piccadilly lines} catching the Fortnum & Mason Clock chimes at noon en route.Written 6 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is pretty cool to see the 3D models built to scale and entry is free.Written 4 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - futtock21London, UK17,235 contributionsZari Gallery in Fitzrovia’s Newman Street promotes art ‘beyond borders’ with reference to a manifesto. This proclaims it has a diverse, inclusive and worldly selection of artists. These include Anthony Christian who paints fleeing and fleeting figures nude beneath their togas, Robert John who paints minute figures atop angular rooftops of vast modern buildings, and Yurim Gough who makes pots which double up as commodes and bells. The current exhibition is by Marion Farnon Christian, you’ve guessed it, the wife of Anthony, called Tying Secrets to Poetry. She creates abstract images tied to the natural world including a painting of a ceramic chicken. Whether this exhibition of her works might lay her a golden egg remIns to be seen.Written 2 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Squiddy72London, UK2 contributionsSome nice / interesting props here, but totally done on the cheap – no context, order or logic to the exhibition and overall no care in the presentation.
It's essentially an empty retail until covered in black drapes with a bunch of somewhat randomly placed props (OK the Delorean is there, but so are odd things like half the back bumper of the flying taxi Biff took in Back to the Future 2).
Shame, could have been much better with a bit more thought.Written 19 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
