What travellers are saying
- andersonphil92London, UK10 contributions007 experience- Very well done - great cryptic clues - funny, but not cringy comments and really kept us engaged. Saw parts of London we had never seen before - fab!Written 6 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Iona LLondon, UK1 contributionA lot of fun! Interesting facts sprinkled into the clues, a scenic route, and some unique snacks I'd not otherwise have tried.
I liked that it could be scaled up or down with the optional pub stops.Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was fun to walk around streets and alleyways discovering places you wouldn’t normally notice. The instructions were all really clear.Written 12 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Frankie K1 contributionWe worked with The Big Smoke to arrange a scavenger hunt as part of a leadership development programme finale. Working with them was a joy from start to finish!
During planning they were flexible and supportive of tailoring the hunt to include challenges relevant to our business and the programme. On the day, the wonderful Holly and Ellie hosted the event, bringing fantastic, infectious energy - our participants were super excited to take part. Feedback was resoundingly positive and presenting back findings from the hunt got a LOT of laughs!
I really cannot recommend The Big Smoke enough! The most brilliant team building activity for an incredibly reasonable price.
Thank you to all the team - you really are great at what you do!Written 6 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ariela PNew York City, NY29 contributionsIt was a fun way to see the Louvre with kids. because it engages their participations, helps you navigate, and although there's no real prize at the end, kids want to finish and want to resolve all.
I WILL do another museum with you. thanks.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really really good treasure hunt. The only downside was that the pub at the end was closed so we were unable to use the prize :(Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. These trails send you down atmospheric alleyways, to little known landmarks and makes you realise that seemingly unremarkable parts of London are actually really interesting.Written 15 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam1 contributionGot whole family from around UK in to have a go at the Nat Hist Museum Survival of the Fittest Game. What fun it was! Clues to challenge and engage all our ages - teenagers to 50s. Learnt loads and now know that there is so much more to find out: the answers are not just pub quiz answers!! As a teacher am thinking of challenging my Y9s/10s/11s to try and beat my family score! As a family we now want to try the other Cluetropolis Hunts as we were 3rd and know we can do better!Written 14 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrCliffNorfolk, UK128 contributionsReally enjoyed the Treasure days treasure hunt over the weekend of 8/9th June. Rather than just wonder the streets looking at the sights this gave us a sense of purpose and discovery. It is amazing what these walks opened up in our learning. As a couple we walked the St. Pauls and City Hunt and the Hampstead Village treasure hunts.
It allows you to walk the alley's and byways you wouldn't normally bother with and search in detail the areas as you inevitably walk back and forth (to some people's consternation!) looking for the clues which you missed, some of which are wonderfully mischievous!!! Plenty of opportunity to stop and have a drink at many of the pubs on route or other small cafes as you wish. Take the time and don't rush is the motto and I hope you enjoy the walks as much as we did. The briefness of the clues and answers just set's you up to do more research and be more knowledgeable. The route and clues order is easy to follow although be sure to take time to absorb the history around you.Written 14 June 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The clues were good, not too easy or too hard. Just the right length as wellWritten 13 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
