Really huge department store, you have to get lost inside if you want to visit it all. Not cheap at all, both for clothes and other things such as furniture, there are only big brands with outrageously high prices. Nonetheless, I recommend a visit.

An amazing selection of market stalls and independent shops; everything from fashion and food to art and gifts. Found it hard to choose what to eat - everything looked (and smelled) incredible!

Absolutely brilliant. So immersive and the music to accompany it was fantastic. Perfect for all ages. There were lots of children and they were loving it. If I had one moan it would be at the parents who allow their children to scream and scream! I get it they’re having fun and it was lovely to see but be aware that some of us want to appreciate what we are seeing and hearing.

The Courtauld Gallery is located in Somerset. It has a wonderful collection, especially in the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists. had a number of Cezannes. It was not crowded which made for a great viewing experience.

I have watched the transfornation of London for decades. Kings Cross, Stratford, and Canary Wharf have all been impressive developments. However, Battersea really is a cut above. Pity the London centric government, generally ignores the rest of the UK!

Our trip to London was very fleeting and we had a strict itinerary. One of the things on that list was seeing the Morph statue designed by Tom Fletcher which was situated in Leadenhall Market. I didn't do any research into the place, we just went and we were blown away by the structural beauty of it. Such a fabulous find in the middle of a big city. Obviously as the name would suggest, there are shops in the market but we didn't hang around long enough to check them out, sadly.

Worth going if you like beautiful buildings and structures and also if you are a 'Potterhead' (fan of Harry Potter) as some scenes from 'Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone' were filmed here in 2000-2001.

Westfield Shopping Centre is a major shopping mecca in East London. Right next to Stratford railway station you cannot miss it when you step off your train.

The station is served by trains run by Greater Anglia and the Overground and Elizabeth Lines. Also the Jubilee and Central lines and the Docklands Light Railway so there are plenty of good transport links.

You can get to Westfield from the station via an underpass which in one direction takes you to Stratford and in the other takes you to Westfield. There is also a bridge which takes you over the railway to the shopping centre.

Once you get in there it is a bit of an assault on the senses. I visited on a weekday during August and it was really busy. I wonder what it is like around Christmas?!

As you can imagine there are a huge range of stores and there are places you can sit and rest which if you spent a long time there.

There is also a food court which has a wide variety of different outlets to get something to eat.

Personally it was a bit overwhelming for me but others may like that.

My husband and I went to the “Dressing the Georgians” exhibit at the Queen’s Gallery. It was a lovely exhibit, with meaningful content, a good audio guide accompaniment, and many portraits to illustrate the content. It was also a short exhibit, so there was no museum fatigue. The thing that kept it from top marks was that there weren’t many actual articles of clothing displayed; there were some, and the ones on display were fitting, just not enough.
