- Elizabeth M1 contributionBusier than expected but service was fast and friendly. Will happily come here again any day of the week :)Written 11 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Emma B13 contributionsAmazing bar staff who are personable, cheerful and professional. They make great cocktails and lovely conversation whilst always ensuring the wait time at the bar is minimal. First time out as Mum and Dad and the bar staff, (particularly Keifen) made this a special night for us!Written 15 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brooke R1 contributionThis place is amazing. We came from
Berlin just to see this place. We were 3 people and I can say that Fabris as good as places in Berlin.Written 30 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Everything went smoothly.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- lissybubsBucks237 contributionsWent last night to see the amazing Amy Wiles DJ. The bouncers were all charming, friendly and funny. Lots of room to dance - including numerous large podiums. Sound quality and lighting was good. Too much smoke effects for me, as it masked seeing Amy do her thing and ruined photos.
The people clearing up the glasses off the dance floor were doing a great job. Bar staff efficient and friendly.
Haven't been clubbing for years so no idea what the going rate for things are; £2.50 per item for the clockroom, £13.75 for a vodka coke, £7.50 for white wine spritz.
Toilets were OK - quite acceptable for clubbing- always plenty of loo roll!!Written 9 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I contacted the venue to ask if they could do anything to help with my access at the event and Jessica responded quickly with positive steps to make my visit more comfortable. Every single member of the team, security, bar etc., were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole experience was great, and the gig was awesome too 😁. Thanks to everyone at Camden Assembly!Written 11 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GrøtnissenBodo, Norway49 contributionsWas here for a show and it was honestly one of the best shows ever. This small venue is loved by many in Camden, London and generally speaking the rest of the world!
If it’s packed, it gets quite steamy in there but I guess that’s a bit of the charm of going clubbing there. Lovely staff who takes good care of you, I don’t drink alcohol and asked for bottle water.
The woman who served me said to me, that she could just fix me a glass of water for me instead, so she did. She made it look like a real drink, with ice cubes and lime slices - so thank you, I didn’t feel alone around all the people who were enjoying alcohol 😍Written 18 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It looks a great club for 18+ year olds - the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, the staff were nice, and the outdoor terrace was pretty with great heat lamps.
Unfortunately it is cash only on the door so they make you withdraw cash out of the machine if you don’t have any, and the club had emptied out completely by 2:40am which is unusual for us being from Birmingham.Written 27 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Most of the lighting has been ripped out of the middle floor room, I have no ida whats going on there. Staff and management are friendly and the venue still has a good vibe, but just seems to have lost the edge it once had.Written 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mrstraveller1York, UK2,256 contributionsBooked Stereo after reading several good magazine reviews. Must confess, it isn’t a place I’d have chosen from its exterior presentation, or even noticed, given its almost hidden away location in the middle of Covent Garden’s Jubilee Market Hall. But once inside - loved it!
It’s a cosy, basement level space with a small stage, glitzy central bar & array of tables, some nicely tucked away. It was quiet on this early evening visit, & staff had the time to be chatty & attentive. Other reviews indicate this isn’t always the case, but our lovely Australian server could not have been more helpful. The food is very basic so my culinary expectations weren’t high but the meal was tasty & well presented & the chefs, visible from the open kitchen, looked professional & polished. The wine list offered a decent selection, plus some good cocktails. We left before the music got into full swing, but loved what we heard (a group called The New Twenty’s & a female singer with the most beautiful voice).
Will return.Written 17 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AngelaCLuton20 contributionsAs venues go this is a good one for a gig, but the security team are useless . Took a pack of chewing gum off me after a bag search as it’s prohibited (my bad for not reading the terms and conditions before arriving), but then didn’t bother taking anyone’s joints off them, so the whole place was full of people openly smoking weed. Chewing gum clearly a bigger problem for them! Anyway hope the security guard who took my Wrigley’s off me enjoyed the free pack of gum!Written 9 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not long after moving to nearby Walerand Rd at the end of January I soon discovered this absolute gem.
Even though at that time I was enduring a bit of a mental car crash, the distraction of not feeling so isolated was welcome.
Since then I have so warmed to everything about this pub.
The atmosphere is priceless, the crowd is diverse and friendly, the bar staff are fab & when Lisa dishes up free grub, well if I went to a restaurant this would get a five star review!
The pool table takes centre stage & is very popular with regular tournaments = free grub! Dart board teams, juke box, spacious beer garden, resident woof woof & cat, damn reasonable bar prices, regular events including karaoke & dj’s, quirky interesting decor an open fire.
Also unlike Weatherspoons in Lewisham delighted that I can sup a pint in my bare feet, which is a full time lifestyle choice.
What more could one ask for? The Anchor deserves more recognition & should be known as a ‘destination.’Written 5 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The atmosphere is electric with music ranging from deep dub step, tribal beats, drum and bass to psy trance. I met loads of people on the dance floor, lots of smiles and making great connections. Definitely going again!!! Thanks for an incredible nightWritten 5 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
