What a great day out we had. So many animals to see and the staff were all great. Can't believe we have been coming to Blackpool for so many years and didn't ever bother going.

We spent a couple of hours walking around seeing half the animals then went and had our packed lunches. To break the day up we went into the Barnyard soft play (£3 per child if you have a zoo ticket) which is also great.

Then back in to see the other half of the animals.

As usual with attractions like these the food and drinks are expensive so would recommend taking as much food and drink as you need/can carry in a backpack.

    Cheaper to prebook online.

Around £10 for a taxi from the centre.

Spent a magical afternoon in the ballroom having a fantastic afternoon tea. Ballroom is amazing, the live music of the Wurlitzer note perfect. Staff all helpful. Brilliant!!!

Lovely experience for elderly mother to watch the dancing but sandwiches were dry and had hardly any filling and had no taste . We had a job to work out what was in them . In fact I have to say most of it was tasteless. I do think it needs to improve. We would have liked to take her to the top of the tower as it’s many years since she has been but it’s not so simple as that is a separate attraction and we were told we would have had to go outside the building and then enter again via the booking office.. Plus it would have been £18 each as now it’s not just a simple ride to the top! What a pity. I suppose none of us will go back to do just that .

    although often very busy, understandly,

the staff were terrific and very accommodating, and pleasant to speak with very even although our family were not famiar with routes and times,

did not expect to use them in blackpool,

but genuinely the best way to travel along the promenade,

My kids went to the pleasure beach when we visited Blackpool in July 2024.
We booked the day before so saved a bit of money, but it still cost almost £150 for 4 kids.
The weather was a bit windy, which meant some of the main rides were closed until lunchtime.
The kids had a ball, said there was plenty to do and it was fun and enjoyable. They also said some of the park felt a bit aged and "rickety".
They had done everything by just after lunchtime (including the rides that were closed) so not sure it's full day out, and at the price not sure it's great vfm.
Drinks/refreshments were fairly priced, but its cashless so beware of that before you go.

had a super time went with daughter and granddaughter, the only disappointment was the price of the photos. With the price of living and families on a budget we were so angry that we could not buy the one photo we really wanted and it left her so unhappy she could not get it.You encourage kids to take the photos but over charge at the exit with the minimum price of £15 for 2 photos

We visited to simply ride the big one, which dominates Blackpool’s skyline. It was incredible - fast, smooth and fun. We felt safe throughout and it was not rickety! Our plan was to only ride it once, but we did it twice and will return! Awesome fun!

So after visiting Gruffalo last month (which is next door)
We decided next time we were up this way we would visit sea life.
We came on a day where there seemed to be some schools walking round but it didn’t hinder our visit.
We also weren’t aware that JJ from Coco Melon was here this week - that really made our daughter excited when she saw him walking round the centre.
We got to the first part and met Kyle, he was lovely and told my daughter she could touch things, which after some encouragement from dad she did.
Kyle was telling her about facts of starfish and what a purse is, we loved that.
We walked round the rest of the attraction, the tunnel is amazing!
The green eel is huge and looks prehistoric!!
The part with the UV lights had our 2yr old happy - he didn’t want to move!
I don’t like bugs so I pretty much ran through there but my partner says it was brilliant.
I love that there is info boards next to everything so even if staff aren’t around then you can have your questions answered.
We got to the big window and met Colette who did a talk. She had cleared catered this talk to the school that was in (who looked about 5/6 yrs old)
She got them and my daughter involved, and the facts like the rays nose, the beautiful turtles age and the shark brain have stuck with our daughter (who’s 4) because she interacted and kids seems to remember thing when they are involved.
This lady must have children because she knows how to speak to them like a motherly figure, she gave out stickers and even answered really silly questions with a smile!
The cafe seems the same as gruffalo but without cake (insert sad face)
JJ and his friend were amazing! JJ came and interacted with us and our daughter. She was happy to speak to him but didn’t want to get too close. He is pretty big!!
    We loved our visit.
Thank you sea life, your staff are amazing l, your animals are amazing and we will definitely be back!!

We visited in April half term with our 5 year old daughter. The changing rooms were very clean and we really like the wristband locker system, it's easy to use and more comfortable to wear the bands than a key. Although we went during half term there were plenty of stalls and lockers available for us to use, and staff members on hand to help if needed.
The water park itself was quite busy, despite the 3 hour time limit given, however we found that we could still enjoy ourselves as we weren't going on any of the big slides due to having a small child.
We were impressed with how many lifeguards there were, and also the water ambassadors in the pool to keep everyone safe.
Overall we had a great time, it was busy but so is everything else in Blackpool during half term. We recently visited another water park in the UK (at a well known theme park) and we would say the facilities at the sandcastle are equal if not slightly better.
    Thanks team!
