Alpacaly Ever After Portinscale

We had a wonderful 90 minutes in a grand park (the castle is also worth a photo shoot with a splendid walkway lane in the orchard, leading to a Peter Rabbit waiting for us!
The setting is amazing and after a short walk from the car park we were met by Annie, who was our guide for the experience.
Catbells Lakeland Walk

Beautiful walk , kids loved the scrambling Stunning views , a little busy in places Be patient finding a place to park Most of the walk is off road ( safe for kids )
Small car park gets full very quickly try parking along the road between the lake and the Catbells, Fab walk with spectacular views, some bits or scrambing required near the peaks, but a great 4 mile walk.

... went up, or you can go onto Blea Fell and then return via Ashness Bridge, another Lake District recommended sight and then walk along the shore of Derwent Water, returning to Great Wood car park soon afterwards.
The National Trust car park at the foot of the Crag in Borrowdale is an excellent stop for a circular walk that can take in the lake shore as well.
Bassenthwaite Lake Bassenthwaite
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Bassenthwaite
At most times of the year, you will (if lucky) get the most wonderful reflections on this lake - in the autumn they are particularly spectacular from the Ouse bridge and and the car park halfway along on the A66.
Stay on the paths or make a bit of a challenge and take the long route which leads you through the woods and gets you up close to nature and the stunning water falls.
