- Cat R2 contributionsI usually avoid tours but thought I'd take a chance to see the Isle of Wight during the Jubilee weekend. Andrew is an outstanding guide, with lots of interesting knowledge. These tours allow lots of personal exploration time while providing great guidance on how to prioritize your time. The buses are very comfortable with USB ports. My wife is an avId Queen Victoria fan and this tour was a highlight of our vacation to the UK from the US. The Osborne house is spectacular and the estate and the private beach area was beautiful. As part of the travel, we boarded a ferry for a short boat ride, along with the tour vehicle, to the island. This was an added treat!
We found Mark to be a very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide, and enjoyed the conversations along the way. Its seaside villages and countryside are lovely and seem “far from the madding crowd”.
Our driver-guide, June, lives on the Isle and knows the area well. On our last afternoon together, she provided tea and biscuits at her home.
