- Shirlene42 contributionsWas raining today but the sheltered market made it easy to walk ard. food is nice! - Louis CecileLondon, UK577 contributionsCamden Market is the main focal point of the area. It provides a mixture of everything for everyone except those who like quieter places. It is loud, crowded and busy. It provides food stalls, quirky shops, anime-themed shops, gaming, bars and more. The weekends are obviously the busiest time to go and it can become manic. However, there is a charm in the chaos as finds items and places different from the mainstream. There is not much seating available, so it is a case of being moved by the crowd, but it and the surroundings will give you something of interest to visit.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EmilyNorthampton, UK680 contributionsI make regular visits to Covent Garden throughout the year, it’s a perfect place in London for any time of year and any kind of weather. As beautiful in winter as it is in summer. There is always something new to see or do and it’s a perfect location for a casual walk round, spot to eat or quick drink.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WaddlerYork, UK12,548 contributionsFor some reason, despite years spent in London, I'd not made it to Notting Hill or this street.
I came to grab a bite at lunch. I love a good street food market and this is a GOOD street food market. Plenty of choic with free samples offered at many, I settled on an Indonesian stall with a chicken muttarbak and a chicken rendang roti canai (yes, I was that hungry). Good stuff.
Street itself? Yeah, it's nice. Touristy, though.Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Was impressed by the merchandise on display especially the unique fashion pieces that you wont' find in the mass fast fashion market. There was also food from all over the world and I tried a Japanese dessert that was so lovely! It was so nice to experience elements of various cultures without hopping on a plane! This is what makes London such a great city - it's limitless ethnic and cultural diversity. I highly recommend!Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Scott R2 contributionsMy wife bought me a custom ring from Laura and it was a great experience! She really cares about her art and her clients. She took the time to listen to our ideas then helped us create something so much better than we could have designed on our own! We will be back soon.Written 25 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- P BaileyManchester, UK888 contributionsWe are English having been to London more times than we honestly can remember but, this is our first time to this absolute gem of a market and unsung tourist attraction.
Not huge like similar structures in Milan or Naples - especially Naples, the market is brimming with character, charisma and over seven-hundred years of history.
Packed full of independents, and a few larger chains, when visiting the City of London, try not to miss this as we have over the past fifty five years.
Plenty of places to grab a meal and a drink though a couple of stores only open Monday to Friday.
All in all, it was great.Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Interesting, bustling, & offers excellent choice of various cuisines.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - soinicLux.2,911 contributionsColumbia flower market is only open on Sunday mornings, it was very crowded, but still a chill ambience.
It's small but beautiful! In Oct. we were blown away especially by the colourful variations of big hydrangea!! Wow.
Also nice, quirky shops to be visited and a lot of "cafés" for a breakfast (sit down or take away) with people watching. Many local people with dogs wandering around, buying flowers, plants, ... chatting with friends.
Some "antique shops/flea market stuff".
One stall called "oyster boy", serving ... oysters of course (and bloody mary ...).
Recommend this off the beaten path market 🌹🌺⚘Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Pizza Napoletana? Mhhhh did not see someone Napolitano making the pizza but it was ok!! Church is gorgeous but cold so better to visit when it's not too cold!!Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TWMIMHorsham, UK598 contributionsI was last here just before the official 10.00am opening, on a Sunday morning. It was interesting to see the traders unpacking their boxes and setting out their wares ready for the weekend Covent Garden crowds.
This market is a good place to go if you like handmade jewellery, prints, watercolours and other handcrafts, which you’ll find from Tuesday to Sunday; antiques and collectibles are the order of the day on Mondays.
The market stalls are original from the days, long gone now, when Covent Garden was London’s busy wholesale fruit/vegetables/flower market.Written 1 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
