Taking a trip up the gondola as a family is always fun. The food at the Summit Lodge is perfect with something for everyone. The staff are so friendly and helpful which makes this a place we love returning to.

My husband and I stopped here on the way to Whistler, this is a gorgeous waterfall, we walked along the water up to the falls and back. Took us about 15 minutes total

Like all British Columbia provincial parks (sorry for that) it is just another amazing park with great trails, falls, views, and gorgeous spots. I prefer to go at the end of the Spring or the end of the Summer, so it is not too hot and not too crowded. Bring your water bottle.
    Positive: it is amazing right.
    Negative: few parking spots

Incredible drive, winding road that goes over a mountain. Breathtaking views and a very fun drive. Well worth the trip, I would do this again.

Great hike and views! The last lake has the best views and fairly unadulterated. I was surprised that many hikers started around 2 pm and didn’t feel they were camping either. For a moderate hikers you can expect around 6 hours for the hike.

One of my favourite places along the coast with the mountains in the background and ocean foreground. Very pretty and easy to turn into from the highway. Beautiful place or a picnic and also able to see black oystercatchers at the nearby beach areas.

Paddle boarding is easy from the far side as the walk down form your car is really short. The kids enjoy floating around within the roped off area and I know they are safe.

We had a fantastic time on the North Pole train. We were constantly entertained and given numerous activities and goodies to keep us entertained. The people/performers were very friendly and inviting even apologizing if we had to wait a while to see some things. They really were exceptional especially considering most are volunteers! It was well decorated inside and we loved the little train etc. Of course there isn’t much to see on the train but you are just in Squamish so I’m not sure what people were expecting. Well worth it and we had a great time with a 4 and 5 year old. I’m not sure what the poor reviews were expecting but it exceeded ours!

Went in early December when eagles swarm to feed off the salmon. You could see a dozen in one tree alone.
Due to Covid-19, my rafting trip was cancelled, so I hiked up along the river bank just past Fergies cafe. Gorgeous scenic area with lots of moss, fishermen, eagles and vultures.
Beautiful afternoon just walking along the river. The cafe is a warm and pleasant follow up.

On the way back from our day trip to Whistler we stopped here as it was something I spotted on our tourist map. We were so glad that we did! It's a bumpy drive down a long road that makes you think that you've taken a wrong turn, but totally worth it in the end. The scenery here is breathtaking and we saw plenty of seals and even one black bear crossing the road! It is quite windy here, and it would've been amazing to watch the kite surfers had they been out that day. We felt like the last people on earth when we were here as it was near dusk and we had it ourselves for about 10 mins. So glad that we decided last minute to pop in here.

Not busy at all on the trails. Trails were in the trail cedars. Good look out. Great swimming after hiking. Lots of people jumping from the rocks.

I went to this monastery with a group of ladies. We joined them for their morning prayers. A nun came out and explained things to us. The nuns start out singing the Psalms which is beautiful. After that it seemed to be repetitious prayer over and over. I preferred the singing. Sitting in the chapel the view is fantastic, you have a window scenery of a snow capped mountain, you almost can imagine that Julie Andrews with run up a hill singing the HIlls are Alive. The nuns spend their life in pray and silence. They grow their own organic vegetables. There are at this time 13 of them. Some young ones that come in, they stay three months to see if this is the life they want forever, after three months they can go home and make their decisions. They take turns cooking meals, make a few items to sell in the gift shop downstairs to help support them. These are Dominion Nuns.

They brew great beer and are located away from the bustle of the Sea to Sky. Management is relaxed and even let you BYOFI (bring your own food in) which is great for those that know but not so great for 1st timers. Def. need a permanent food truck in the car park or a basic menu.
