- RichardB2 contributionsThis tour was pre-booked for us as part of a package therefore we did not know what to expect so it was a real pleasure to have such a great introduction to the city with a really enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. I cannot praise Sean, our guide, highly enough for his friendliness and helpfulness, nothing was too much trouble and lots of insider information to help our stay go well. Also a mention must go to Alex who dropped us off at the museum. - Abilash NSingapore, Singapore8 contributionsWe had the pleasure of having Mr Wayne as our guide for the 2 tours we took for Auckland, Waitomo and Hobitton.
You cannot go wrong with Bush and Beach being such a reputed agency and you definitely want Wayne as your guide. The whole tour felt more like a family get together, from the chats to the laughs we had. Oh yes.. the laughs, Wayne is really witty and a wisecrack with so many humorous stories and jokes. We never once felt bored during the drives to get from one location to another since we had so much to chat about. When we finally left in Rotorua, we all felt sad saying goodbye to Wayne and felt we made a new family friend!
Thank you Bush and Beach and Wayne for making our holiday so memorable. Our Delightful host Pauline was both knowledgeable and fun as well as patient as we learned how to master our segways .. it’s was easy as she promised it would be.
Fantastic fun and a really great way to see sights we’ve been driving past for years.

- Albert R1 contributionOur driver, Kris, who owns the business, had an engaging personality with a good sense of humor and some strong opinions. He had a list of places that he had picked for us to visit but readily accommodated a couple of additions we requested. All the stops he had planned were interesting and many provided incredibly beautiful scenic views of Auckland and its environs. We saw some interesting inner city neighborhoods, Ponsonby and Parnell and visited OneTree Hill which is sacred to Maori. We had lunch in lovely harbor village of Davenport at a very nice restaurant suggested by Kris. It was an excellent way to see parts of the city outside the CBD where we stayed. We were able to see many of the famous highlights including a private farm tour and Beetopia visit that Peter and Mai put together exclusively for us. Their operation did an excellent job keeping us entertained, the Mercedes van was immaculate every day, and they strive to appeal to the groups individual needs. Any concerns one might have in regards to a reopening country can be shelved; Peter will seek resolution to your needs every step of the way. He was also kind enough to offer advice and tips for the rest of our travels through New Zealand. - Tanu KSydney, Australia27 contributionsWe did a full day city tour with Stevong last week. He was warm, friendly and personable and we had a really good time with him. The rain played spoilsport and we could not see the sights in detail, had to drive past some of them - but Stevong drove us past all of the spots and places in Auckland and ensured we saw the best parts of the city. Starting the day with Cornwall Park , he took us up to the One Tree Hill point , dropped us at the Auckland museum, and took us to a quaint Italian restaurant for lunch. Afterwards we went to Mission Bay , had a cuppa coffee at Devonport , drove around the ferry terminals , and ended the day with a bit of sunshine at Northhead. Stevong took some great pictures for us as well. - Margaret T8 contributionsWe were delighted to be escorted by Kris of Black Car Tours. He took us on an extensive drive around all the neighborhoods of Auckland and showed us the highlights of the area. Kris is very knowledgeable and charming. A great conversationalist who specializes is Kiwi hospitality. By the end of the tour we had a great overview of the city. We were so happy with the service that we hired Kris to take us to the airport the next day.
