- Yaya2468107 contributionsThe private VIP Tour of Punta del Este was the perfect way to explore Uruguay during our 6-day stay. The journey along the coast was stunning, with stops in charming beach towns that gave us a real feel for the area. Gonzalo provided ample time to take in the beauty of Casa Pueblo and Punta del Este, creating a relaxed yet well-paced experience.
He was incredibly professional and ensured we never felt rushed, striking the perfect balance between independence and guided exploration. We felt cared for and completely at ease throughout the day.
We were thrilled to learn that Gonzalo would also be our guide for Colonia del Sacramento the following day, and we can’t wait for another memorable experience. She is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and gave us so much valuable information throughout both the trips. - GoGo2SlowGoDenton, TX1,463 contributionsThe tour was very good and picked us up at our hotel. We then listened to our guide who explained the itinerary and a bit of history. Our first stop was Piriapolis which was charming. We went to the top of the Cero for a great view and photo opportunity. The tour takes you to the Casapueblo which is an amazing tribute to the famous artist - Carlos Paez Vilaro. It looks like Santorini on steroids.
We then went through the back streets of Punta del Este and our guide explained why it's the home of the "rich and famous."
We stopped near Play Brava and had some free time to photograph and get a snack.

We had a nice stop at Piriapolis a pretty resort town with a beach . Then we had a tour of Punta Del Este . After lunch we were brought to see La Mano ( The Hand ) the famous sculpture on the beach . After that it was on to Casapueblo which for us was the highlight. She wanted to ensure that we had time at each location, she even stopped at a convenience store for us to pick up some snacks. - Chris P6 contributionsWe had the most amazing time with Ryan on this trip. There were 14 of us from an Atlas cruise and everyone said it was their favorite day tour! Ryan picked us up in a very comfortable roomy van. We arrived at the winery before it opened and we had 4 different wines and an amazing meal. Lots of history of the area and Ryan knows his wine!! 🍷 most bought multiple bottles for the rest of our trip and we were dropped off right at the tender boat back to the ship!! He tailored the tour to our liking and was gladly willing to take pictures for us or continue on if a sight did not interest us. He provided water and the van was very comfortable as we toured around Punta del Este. His English was very good.
