    Review of: Rouvas Gorge (Agiou Nikolaou)
    Cracking hike! Although you may get lost a couple of times.....
    I had a really great hike up this gorge. Stick with it if you lose the track (it happened to me a few times). The total climb is around 530m and distance around 6km from the start to the top (so 12km in total for the round trip). Hiking at a relaxed pace it was around 4 1/2 hours to get up and back. There are some bits that you need to clamber over, so I wouldn't recommended it with young children.

    Review of: Kamihis Farm
    Truly an amazing cooking and farm experience!
    We loved the cooking and farm experience with this wonderful family! It was our favorite experience in Crete. They taught us how to make bread, a soft goat cheese, and a Crete pastry. They let us interact with their animals and try milking their goat. They are inspirational in the way they work the land in such an respectful and environmentally responsible way. We enjoyed a really delicious lunch using what we had made and some other special Crete dishes they had made.

    Review of: Vrondisi Monastery
    Nearby Zaros Village, nice place to visit.
    We visited the monastery during our winter vacations in Zaros village. The monastery has a very nice view, it's up the mountain. Nice architecture and an old water source-fountain worth the visit.

    A good climb and spectacular Retreat
    The shepherd in the hut has a good View of Zaros High Street. and then through the arch to the little cave and chapel

    Review of: Kurtes
    Passionate owner and great products!
    Nikos is one of the kindest persons I have ever met. He offered us some bread with his delicious olives and olive oil and explained everything about his products. I think it was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Thank you Nikos!

    Review of: Lake of Zaros Votomos
    Peaceful start to the day
    We visited the lake on the morning we were leaving Zaros. We had stayed one night at the Hotel Idi, and after breakfast we popped up to have a look at the lake. It was quite early (about 9.30am), and it was so peaceful an still. We were the only ones there. We had a little walk all the way round the lake, managing to upset the resident geese. After much honking and hissing (the geese made a bit of noise too!!) we walked past them and completed our circuit of the lake. There were some quite big fish visible in the water. The walk led us through the rear of the taverna, if we ever go back to Zaros it would be nice to go there for a drink. There was a garden area along one side of the lake which was also very pleasant. The lake is fenced all the way round so you couldn't get into the water even if you wanted to. We'd definitely go back there if we were in the area again.

    Review of: Cooking lessons at Vegera
    Delicious
    We had so much fun learning lots of different dishes! Vivi was the absolute best teacher and made it so much fun! Definitely give it a go
