- Bob M11 contributionsFast, quiet rolls on rubber tires. Only issue, english speaking station announcements , tourist may have slight problem, 99% of people will give assistance.
Not all cars have A/C .
Quite safe but more street people are visible.

- Trek6492691 contributionGreat experience with clean bedding and decent food. We went sleeper class so it wasn’t cheap. I’d recommend it to go one way for the experience but not both. - Lori P6 contributionsFirst time on a via train. It all went smoothly. We had fabulous service on both legs. People at the stations were helpful and friendly. The business lounge at Toronto Union station was a nice add-on for the business class fare. The snacks provided were tasty but I had expected a little more than a packet of savory pretzel-type mix. Perhaps a choice of savory or cookies. Overall a very good experience. We stayed at a hotel about 10 blocks away from here. It is a large and clean station. VIA Rail trips being the primary reason to be here. However, this station is also directly connected to the local Metro subway lines which run below the station. This station is also directly connected to the Underground City shopping which stretches several blocks in every direction. It is amazingly well planned and well laid out, I commend the architects. If you call this station plain and non-descript, you are only scratching the surface. We did take a train trip from here, but that will be a different review. Fantastic service and communication was great.

Thank goodness we got to the bus station ahead of time and then like at 45 minutes before the bus was supposed to leave we see a line for the bus so we got on it. Luckily! The bus in all honesty left 35 minutes before the scheduled 11 AM departure! The buses more or less clean, but no Wi-Fi working. Unbelievably slow process to connect; not sure who is slower & less caring, Montreal security or US Customs.
