- mommalou4Saskatchewan, Canada522 contributionsI found these gardens mentioned on TripAdvisor and decided to check them out one afternoon when we had some time to kill, during our ten day visit to Oakville.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but found a pretty location on the water complete with cherry blossoms, tulips, fountains and walking paths. Other plants had yet to bloom, as it was still early in the season.
Several were out for a stroll, or even doing laps around the path. It’s a very serene place to visit. There was a unique art gallery on site as well.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are many trails, challenging hills, washrooms, kids play structures, sixteen mile creek and picnic facilities. It is free to the public, many trailheads to jump into the trail system.Written 10 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarkDeb83Oakville, Canada69 contributionsIt is a lovely place to sit and have a picnic. There are tables and chairs or you can bring you own. There is also a lot of parking. It is lovely to watch the yachts sail pass.Written 11 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sandra Marie R7 contributionsNice private campsite. Well lit and clean facilities. Lovely shower. Good clear signage to find the various camp areas. Lots of bunnies! Nobody at the gate when I arrived, but I was able to follow the signs to get to my campsite.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fiona MHuntly, UK228 contributionsWe visited the museum while on holiday in Oakville. It is a very interesting little museum, and worth a visit. Interesting video/presentation on slaves in Canada. - Debbie MWhite Rock, Canada22 contributionsThe guides were awesome and catered the ride to the skill levels of the riders in the group. They obviously care for their horses and matched the horse to the rider. - Dan POakville, Canada9 contributionsThe strip of Kerr Street from the Lakeshore to just south of Speers Road is a great place to wonder for an afternoon and find some local shops and restaurants that are truly locally owned and operated. A number of merchants who have been driven out by the ridiculous rents and lack of parking on the Lakshore in downtown Oakville have relocated here. Maro's, Gingerman (closed for renovations at this time) and Kerr Street Cafe are fabulous! Gear Music is one of the best guitar and music gear shops in the GTA, and there are some lovely small parks to sit and people-watch and enjoy your coffee. In the evening, check out the Moonshine Cafe for the best live music in Oakville.Written 2 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas21 contributionsExcellent cinema. We saw the new mission impossible and were thrilled with the prices and quality. If you live near by I could see no reason to pay the higher price at other cinemasWritten 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amanda1 contributionWe went in March to the Zombie room, everyone in their 20s had a lot of fun. Challenging, but having the large group work together and bounce off one another was super fun. Everyone really enjoyed themselves, a fun different activity to do with friends or family. 11/10 recommend narrow escape... we will be back for the other rooms for sure.Written 28 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChaitanyaCambridge, Canada1,457 contributionsGreat for date nights.
Had pizza for dinner and drove in to watch 2 back to back movies. Entrance was easy and quick and well setup to organise traffic.
Parked in the back for the first movie which was a great spot and worked well with having portable olden style radio. Radio worked well for audit, screen was a bit dark.
For 2nd movie, we moved up as people started leaving. Upper locations were way better ofcourse.
If you are able to getting there early, is always good as it allows you to get great spots and highly recommend taking a portable radio.
Concession stands were ok - they were out of a lot of food and had no ice cream.
Overall it was a fun experience, would definitely do it again.Written 4 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
