What travellers are saying
- Olga P1 contributionWe visited the museum and were thoroughly impressed by the size of the collection. The printing machines are from all around the world! They are not only well-preserved or restored, but beautifully maintained, with some even in perfect working condition. It was a delight to see such a rich history.
One of the highlights of our visit was interacting with Sean, a museum staff member. Sean's knowledge is truly remarkable. He can answer any question, not only about the history of the printing industry and the needs of the time in terms of printing speeds and manufacturing limits but also delves into the fields of physics, chemistry, and materials science. He explains the intricate processes happening within the machines during printing in great detail. It's rare to meet someone with such a well-rounded understanding.
Big respect to Sean and the museum team for creating such an educational and enjoyable experience!Written 10 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Despite the limited hours it is opened the volunteer members do a good job of offering tours plus explaining the displays here. This house bends in well with the lived residences of the area. There is no parking on the .street but paid parking is available at the park next to this property. They also works of local artists as well. This residence is .average compared to more established historic sites but they are doing a good job despite their limited resources here. Guest book signed by visitors shows both people visiting from Oakville plus out-of-town. No admission charge to this place.Written 12 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- yourlocalpoet33 contributionsIt wasn't spooky, or even really very dark, but I get that when you're catering to kids. The history itself was plentiful, more so than the ghost stories. The live actors wandering around (even despite the rain) is a nice touch that differentiates this walk from others.Written 2 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
