After a great lunch, I took some time to enjoy the natural beauty of this area.

This a wonderful park to walk. Swings and slides for the kids. Multiple memorial plaques adorne the area.

A true gem in the Great North.

Our absolute favourite brewery. We came to Barrie for 3 days and stopped here 4 times. Once for lunch (thanks Brian for your excellent service) and 3 times for drinks. The staff are so friendly. We drive 3 hours a couple times a year to come here and walk the beautiful waterfront.

Sunnidale is well maintained, quite a few trails and a decent amount of parking. Quite a few trees to provide shade as well. Great place to go for people of all ages.

In between meetings, conference calls and Zoom meetings/calls, I took a break to appreciate Mother Nature and wonderful expressions of art.

Such a large expansive piece, perfectly located on the water.

Beautiful area for walking and biking. Trails are clean and well maintained. Beaches are well groomed as are the beach volleyball courts. Boat launch is nearby. Plenty of playgrounds for kids. Only downfall is the paid parking. Super expensive. It is $10/hour. It could cost you up to $50 for the day. Yikes. Maybe they want to encourage public transport.

Even more fun than expected! Can't wait to go back next year!

If you're a grown-up, be ready to be sore the next day from slipping and sliding all over the place and using all of those muscles that have been laying dormant to pull yourself back onto this floating gymnasium after falling in ... many, many times. But so worth it! Had an absolutely fantastic time. Kids love it and great workout too!

Several lifeguards close by, life jackets mandatory and included in price. Seems altogether very safe but expect to get a scrape or two from the inflatable seams.

No lockers available (as of this year) but they'll hold onto your car keys so that you can lock your valuables inside your car.

Make sure to slather on lots of sunscreen!

You can go quite some distance and you will not find better corn on the cob than here. Fresh picked, sweet, great people and if you have kids along, tons of fun.

It’s well worth the visit. The gallery has a large variety of artists and styles. Once you start buying original art you get hooked.

Lovely small sandy beach with limited parking beside Yacht Club. Has some lovely waterfront trails for biking and walking. A few kilometres from downtown Barrie.

We enjoyed the food court. The fries from NYF were hot and delicious. The gyros from Feta and Olive was tasty but small on the portion size. The rest of the mall was a decent size. There was a good range of stores, but some were a little on the small side.

The Maclaren is a small gallery which has rotating exhibits. It doesn't take long to wander through it, and it has free entry-although you can put a donation in the donation box. There is a very good gift shop with locally made wares. There is also a very good cafe, which serves great lunches and coffee.

This beach has a nice play area for kids. It has been cleaned up by the city so it is much nicer than before, but the city loses points since they have made it much more difficult for kayakers, paddle boards, and windsurfers to access the water, You now have to scramble over shrubs and large boulders. This was once an active beach for the windsurfers and the city knew that going in to the new landscaping. It looks nice, but if beaches are for everyone to use they screwed up on this one.
