- kwa829Redmond, WA952 contributionsThe attraction is a bit cheesy, but if you are passing through Medicine Hat, it's worth a stop to see it and take the photo. One of those "they built it, so you should come" attractions.
For a fun photo, stand in the exact center, put your camera on the ground facing up, and with your camera's self-timer, take a selfie with your head perfectly centered with the tip of the teepee so it looks like you're wearing a hat.
It is unfortunate that during my visit, a couple of cherry pickers were parked right next to it, which kind of spoiled the visual.
I might suggest a visit at sunset; the sun setting behind it makes a nice picture.Written 11 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a dog walk, paved routes and great for biking, swimming, picnicking, outdoor dates, enjoying fishing, duck watching, paddle boarding. Life guards on site. Sand based beach and swimming hole with filtered water. Snack bar, washrooms and music at the beach. Playgrounds and lots of non plug in parking. Great for kite flying and e biking too. We go there spring to late fall.Written 4 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Valerie RMedicine Hat, Canada16 contributionsPolice Point is more of a back to nature with amenities. There are often natural events happening there you can participate in. We love to run our dog while we ebike the various trails there. You do have to watch out for the odd snake (rarely) and clean up after your pet but its very natural with trees, a branch of the river flowing nearby and natural gravel paths. Great for mountain biking! there are benches throughout and a washroom in the parking lot. And best of all its free!Written 4 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JennRegina, Canada169 contributionsWent to Med Hat for a whl game. We stopped by the Canalta in the afternoon and were able to get in to watch some of the team practice. We also noticed they use the facility as a walking track when there are no events on.
When we returned for the evening game, we were unsure of what the parking was as there are signs for premier seating but weren’t sure what that meant. Regardless we found parking elsewhere and it was a close walk. Bag/purse check upon entrance. Concessions were cheaper than Regina Brandt centre (large popcorn $5, poutine $6, cotton candy $4). Bathrooms were large and clean. Didn’t notice any wait time for use. Seating was easy to find and the big screen monitor was great quality. Overall a great facility.Written 7 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can grab ice cream or a coffee, check out the small petting zoo or the butterfly house, take 5 and sit in the fountain garden or enjoy being in the flowers as you walk from annuals to perennials to the outdoor trees and shrubs. Talk to the ladies who volunteer and are expert gardeners to learn more. Meet the parrot who live over by the houseplant section in a huge cage. Buy a quirky garden bench, ornament, chime, birdhouse or something from a variety of items such as boot planters, fairy garden steps, etc.. Take your time and buy some veggies to get back to healthy eating on your trip through the Hat. The Windmill is welcoming and allows you to stroll the indoor/outdoor grounds with no pressure to buy while allowing you to experience nature at its best.Written 4 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
