A lot of tourists and locals. This area has plenty of restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. We felt very safe here as well.

We stopped by at the beginning of Sunday evening mass. It's a beautiful, peaceful church right on the town square. Worth a visit.

Nice market with some cooked food choices. A 10 minute walk from the main square. Not that amazing as a tourist activity but great if you're cooking.

This was a GREAT location to be dropped off at via Uber for the weekly (every Thursday evening) Art Walk. We loved all the beautiful architecture, local shops, food and the Instagram worthy "San Jose del Cabo" art installation in front of one of the historic churches in the Plaza!

My friend and I decided to go visit Wirikuta, as we both love cactae. This place has so many different plants from all over the world. It was pretty empty, so we got full attention of Juanito, who runs the place. Juanito was extremely attentive at all times. He explained a little bit about the most interesting plants over there. We walked around and saw dolphins, camels, different birds, as well as sculptures. It was quite an interesting spot!
We took the local bus there from downtown! The bus is #5, and it costs less than $1.

The beach is now clean and beautiful. You can rent one of the few day palapas for $45 per person. That comes with a food/credit credit. We ordered 2 margaritas. $26!! Very expensive for Cabo. No chips and salsa. Come for the beach and bring your own drinks.

Most of the stalls have the same items, so you can shop around for price or get everything you need at your first stop.

Indoor/outdoor set up. Most of the indoor portions have air conditioning.

    It also has a bathroom.

This is a wide open beach, great for sunbathing or walking. We went two days in a row and it wasn't crowded. The waves were huge so I wouldn't recommend swimming but it was pretty.

Galeria Ida Victoria, run by Ida Gustavson, is our favorite art gallery in San Jose del Cabo. Over the years, we have become close friends with the Ida and her assistant Alegria. We have attended a dramatic performance there as well as a few concerts held at the gallery. She has a great selection of artists on view. Two of our favorites are Brent Lynch and Michael Carlyle. On the Thursday art walk, you will miss out if you don't visit this special place.
