    Worth a visit
    Visited whilst staying in Cancun, prices were more expensive than back home in the UK so no bargins. Food court was a major challange as I am coeliac and was unable to find anything I could eat and gave up in the end. Wide veriaty of shops to wander round very clean and a nice place to visit.

    avenue tulum
    dont get this confused with the city of tulum 2 hours away south..this is the avenue where the huge mall of the Americas is and ibis hotel and many other hotels are on plus hospetals stores this is a very busy little street that goes to the city hall as well as to areas of shopping that are kind of secrets to many because they are so much cheaper than some malls..check it out with the whole family especially teenagers....interesting and many busses go down that street on the way to the hotel zone..

    Ambarte at Akumal Bay Beach Resort
    We almost bought our souvenirs in Akumal Bay at much higher prices. Fortunately we went into this store that was near our resort lobby and found out it wasn't affiliated with our resort so the prices were so much better than we expected. The store has a large selection of Amber, as well as local art and jewelry. The salesman, possibly owner, gave us the history of the art and was very informative . We were happy we bought in this store and highly recommend it.

    pretty good place for tourists
    Was clean and had just about anything you needed from touristy gifts to liquors/chocolate. A lot cheaper than the resort gift shop. No pushy sales people and felt safe to roam around the area afterwards. We bought a wide range of items, one item i liked was a Cancun T-shirt and the quality is pretty good. Used my Amex and I signed for $233 in the store and it showed up my account as $258, so be advised to use pesos.

    Interesting place. lots to see
    This was a fascinating shopping experience that offered lots of interesting things to purchase, plus a tequila tasting area in the rear (at least it looked like that). We bought some souvenirs from this store which were OK. I must admit that the ice cream stand in front sold ice cream (or gelato) that was not the best. Still, it was a fun place to visit.

    Wonderful work for me and all my 4 friends
    We went shopping and stopped by this little shop by the mall and we had a great time and service by Danie and Dianna!

    They have a lot of samples and tattoos choices!

    Excellent braids
    I had braids done by Sheila in January and Gris in March. They are both very talented ladies and can do amazing braids. Besides they are very sweet, nice, friendly, and creative ladies. If you're in Cancun and want great quality braids at a fair price, this is your spot.

    It´s ok!
    I don´t go often, but it has everything, if you want to experience a local ambience, you can try go here for dinner, for Starbucks coffee, for night out. Anything! is fine... #zazshares

    High Pressure Sales people
    We bought two beautiful pieces and felt very pressured into buying. The store was beautiful but i felt I didn't get a chance to look around because my sales rep was focused on trying pieces on me and pressuring me to purchase. My teenagers were ignored and disappointed since we thought we were going to watch the making of the jewelry(possible try our hand at making jewelry).
    The payment of the jewelry was done on a "square" type cc reader and did not feel secure. Fingers crossed that the jewelry is on the up and up.This is part of a "free shopping trip" and I would definitely say it was worth going since the glass blowing place was lovely and the shopping on 5th ave was great.

    I was in Cancun in May and my husband wanted to buy me Cartier bracelets! We spent a very long time at the boutique and finally I got 2 bracelets, one of the actually had wrong red threading, which was replaced here at Manhattan, NY . I would better buy it here. We spent more money In Mexico and Never got tax return! Since May they promised 40 days , then 45 and nothing. We spent the whole evening waiting for person to fill paper and still no money back even after I sent all papers again to tax refund! Very disappointed! Don’t buy anything therey advice!
