This museum has a very large and complete collection of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera paintings, they also have sculptures and prehispanic and ancient pottery .

If you have only time for one (of the hundreds of Museums in the city), this is the place to go, and get a guide who will take you through Diego Rivera's amazing murals that depict Mexico's exciting history.
... of Benito Juarez, we saw the HUGE Mexican Flag - marched in by the army at sundown, a "temporary" installation of 200 pieces of art by Mexican artist - that would rival the full size of many smaller museums.

One of the museums created for kids-but for everyone, in Mexico City a great experience to learn & have fun, I watch in the big screen a movie about dinosaurs and it was very nice!
The museum is very well done, with a bubble exhibit, a mock up of the agriculture at Xochimilco, and a great balance between learning and fun (and both at the same time).

The museum is really Luis Barragan's own house which has been preserved very close to what it was when the Pritzker-winner, lived here.

The bus ticket was $150 for both museums with transport between them on a big comfortable bus (we napped) and enabled us to skip the huge line-up.
Is a small museum I expected more art and found more of the life they had, their house and studio, so you feel more connected to their personal life.

There are also 2 other sections that are used for temporary exhibitions, so like with most museums, it is pot luck what will be on when you visit.
Another review complained that the museum shows only a small percentage of its collection at once; that's typical of great art museums.
