Really well organised, people are super friendly, snorkelling was fun! I saw some turtles, beautiful corals and lots of different fish. I get cold pretty easily but fortunately there was an option to rent a wet suit for an additional $10. I spent the whole day there, very nice and relaxing atmosphere, some lunch options as well. Grilled conch was nice.

I booked a 10am pickup but actually the pickup arrived around 9:20 to reach Paradise Cove at 10 - this was a bit unexpected but fortunately the driver waited for me and it was not an issue.

    Definitely recommend!

We met on a pontoon boat with about 10 of us to go snorkeling. It was about 40 minutes boat ride through the gorgeous turquoise waters. They took us up river to blue hole, let us out in about 2 feet of water. We floated down river and saw stingray, 50+ starfish, tons of coral, and shells. The deepest part was maybe 10 feet and you could dive down for a closeup. The boat picked us up at a gorgeous sandy beach at the opening of the waterway.

I wish we could have spent the entire day just snorkeling and being on the beach and not have to go back to the cruise ship!

We were picked up at our resort at the agreed upon time. Our driver, David was caring to each passenger on board. He held his hand out and helped people get on and off the charter bus. His stories were fun. We only got to spend about 30 minutes with the pigs, but it was fun and we took a lot of great photos. After interacting with the pigs, we had about an hour left to browse merchandise which was expensive, have lunch at our own cost, and do other things on the beach before David returned us to our resort. Transportation was included in the cost which was nice because it was 22 miles from our resort.

This post is long overdue, but better late than never. Mamma Gal/C Bevans Taxi and Tours were amazing to work with and so flexible with customizing our tour, and our day with Charlie was a highlight of our trip (a cruse between Florida and the Bahamas). We actually arranged to essentially combine both the East End and Cultural tours (for an added charge, of course), and it was well worth it. Getting to learn about the different peoples, cultures/industries, food, and landscapes at a leisurely but intentional pace was such a treat. There was a perfect balance of instructional/guided time and independent exploration time. It really was like visiting an uncle and having him show us around and share some of his favorite places. We were able to get away from crowds and most tourists, so even though we were only there for a day, it didn't feel like a "tourist" activity, but an authentic visit. Well worth it!

This experience was amazing! It was our favorite thing we did on our whole trip to the Bahamas. We got to see so much and the scooter made it much easier to get around. We pet the sea turtles and got to hold brittle stars .Mikey was a great guide and was super fun I would highly recommend this! Definitely bring an underwater camera with you!

The grounds are well kept with a clean beach front. Service was top tier. Food and drinks were delicious and delightful. The owner treated us like royalty. There are accessible clean washrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off, as needed. Games, watersports activities and entertainment is readily available. Such a great experience and time spent here. We look forward to returning and highly recommend others to experience this precious place in Bahamas. Shout out to kanoo (founding father puppy) of this lovely beach club lol.

The excursion began with us boarding a clean, air conditioned bus. Phillip was our driver. He was entertaining & gave us continued banter with facts & history on Freeport. Marilyn was our guide at the Garden of the Groves. She was friendly, humorous & full of history about the garden.

The garden is pretty, but not terrifically maintained. The walk through was not strenuous & most steps provided a hand rail.

Getano, Renaldo were the best bartenders we could have asked for. It was a rainy day so not much to do but they definitely saved the day!
Albert stoped by and talked to us for a few seconds but was a pleasure! Best customer experience i could ask for !

Tour was great. Charles took us all over the island and was very informative. Saw some awesome sights and did some shopping. Conch fritters were delicious. Paired with a mango slush.. 🤤🤤

Overall this was a great experience! A couple of hiccups, but certain circumstances led to them. Hida is a great guide with a wealth of knowledge of her island. I booked this excursion because it was "Personalized and Unique". Not a ship excursion, or one that we were pushed into once arriving at the dock. This was prearranged and it was "only" my husband and myself. When you do an excursion like this you can gain much more information and even be able to work with Hida to adjust the day to things "you" really want to do and not just settle for the exact times and places preassigned by other excursion companies. Hida will make you feel very comfortable and runs her licensed tour company as a exclusive independent excursion that caters to her bookings.
Unfortunately, Margaritaville's 3 night weekend cruise, puts you in port on a Sunday. BAD BAD schedule on the Cruise Companies part. Leaving out of West Palm on a Friday and having Saturday as a sea day and Sunday is port day is not well thought out. Sunday in Grand Bahama is their religious day and everything is closed and the sidewalks are rolled up. If the schedule was switched between Saturday and Sunday the tourists would be able to experience so much more the island has to offer. Also the change would bring more revenue to the island.
With that being said, a few places we did visit included the Lighthouse, a new Art Exhibit of local artists, Dorsets Conch experience on the beach and a stop at a local restaurant for some conch fritters. We enjoyed the places we did see, but we were disappointed in the things we missed out on.
I HAVE REBOOKED with Hida for a repeat of the same weekend cruise, cruising this time with a friend, and we will be adjusting the excursion sites and schedule to be even more personal to our wants and needs. I'm looking forward to ironing out the details with Hida soon and will repost again after the second time around.
AGAIN, IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH ONLY YOUR PARTY AND CHOOSE YOUR DAY- BOOK HIDA!

Promised was a pickup in Miami near the Bayside Market or Miami Beach (Collins Ave). However, this did not take place without replacement, so that I had to pay the cab to Fort Lauderdale out of my own pocket, for which the customer service has not apologized.
Also, the departure and return times were not correctly specified, whereby I had to look for these on the page of Balaerian Caribbean itself.
The departure times were changed: Departure is now 10 a.m. and return was at 6 p.m. (I had to ask on board).
You can also book the tickets directly on the site of the ferry operator, here is also more flexible so that you can also plan overnight stays, which I would also recommend.

The trip with the ferry and the island itself and the possibilities that offers that is really great.
I enjoyed the almost 6h very much and the island can be explored almost completely in the time (there are golf carts for rent for a fee).
The crossing was manageable with just under 2h, whereby you can also go on deck and marvel at the infinite sea blue.

This excursion was exactly as described, and more. Bryce and Rica were wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable about the island and the East End in particular. It was the perfect day for kayaking - we saw tons of starfish, bone fish and snapper, even some sharks (just babies) and rays and of course, sea turtles. Highly recommend!

My photographer took me to a beautiful and private beach area. It was so gorgeous, peaceful and quiet there. Mikey was very Jovial with the goal of allowing me to be relaxed and naturally laughing and smiling for the photos. Working with him was so much fun. He took me to Taino Beach after where he stayed with me until I was ready to go. Taino beach was gorgeous and the food there was great! Also the company from the cruise 🚢 was fun! I was able to take photos with a gorgeous colorful parrot 🦜 and purchase some pretty bracelets. Loved my photos very much and the video he captured 🥰 Absolutely amazing experience. Worth it! 💯😘 Thanks for an amazing birthday 🥳 shoot!

This is our second adventure with Hida and it won’t be our last! This experience was absolutely amazing. We learned so much about the history of the island. Hida is such a wealth of information. It was such a relaxing and beautiful day that we will never forget. You can’t go wrong with one of her adventures as she makes them all amazing. We truly can’t wait to be back and on another adventure with her.
