Zakiya was our host, and words can't describe how wonderful she was. This woman deserves a raise times 10. The food was absolutely amazing and worth the trip alone. But when I come back I want to make sure Zakiya will be there!! 5 out 5 easily

Being in nearby Rodney Bay we felt we had to go and see what the street party was about.

To be honest I felt a little apprehensive about the area and the fact that we were going somewhere with so many people about, however I need not worry. We went fairly early around 7.30 and asked our taxi to come back for us at 10 as we are not late birds.

The party was only just getting started when we arrived and only seemed to start get going around 8.30ish. This gave us a perfect opportunity to get our food ahead of the crowds. My husband couldn’t resist the half lobster at EC100 seemed very reasonable. I being the fussy eater opted for chicken and noodles. Whilst my husband was in heaven with his lobster I not being a lover of garlic didn’t really enjoy mine as everything was laced heavily with garlic.

There are loads of people selling drinks from little stalls however we opted to go into a bar to get ours which were really reasonable EC20 for a local rum and coke and JD and coke.

Music I was expecting to hear lots of Reggae music however it was more UK dance music which really got the crowd going.

Tips wear cool clothes, don’t overdress and flat shoes as the streets are very uneven.

Good guide for the 'volcano'. If you have been to others, like Rotura or Yellowstone then you will not be overwhelmed, but you're here & might as well see it, if you're doing the mud.

Come early or later, avoid the rush. I think this actually did make a difference to my skin. It was a bit of fun, so why not?

Brilliant fun - a must do experience.

I had so much fun, that it became a everyday activity with my children. Just do it everyone would say! and then do it again and when you need a break, stop and chat to the life guards - Dalton, Earl and Aden, who can give you the insights to St Lucia, local news and much more.
Great times & memories that I did not expect, thanks to all at the park.

Favorite part of the trail was definitely the top lol. My driver never climbed it before and was like "I'll climb it with you" which was cool cuz I was there alone(wife and friends stayed back). When I got there I was in flip flops and my guide asked if I was hiking in those(my boots where still in the car), I said to her "doesn't everybody?" She didn't laugh lol. She was cool though. It wasn't that bad however it's a continuous climb up and if you stop too long you probably won't finish. Don't get me wrong it went through my mind a few times while I was grabbing roots and clawing through dirt. The couple of lookout points had great views. Don't do what I did and throw two 1/2 liter bottles of water in your pockets, bring a small backpack with plenty of water. There is someone at the top selling beer, water and fruit. The driver and I crushed it in 1-1/2 hours. I'm in my 40's and the driver was in his late 20's and I wasn't gonna let him leave me behind(even though he was about 15 meters ahead the whole time) which gave me the motivation to push on up. I suggest you be in somewhat shape and a good mentality to conquer this gem. The top is rewarding, trust me. Be careful coming down it's definitely not the same and steeper lol. We were able to get back to the base in an hour, we were moving quite fast. If you're in shape and like hiking then I highly suggest it, I also suggest to work your calfs alot cuz mine were on fire the next day lol. I should've put more time on the stair climber than on the tread. Good luck. Next year Petit Piton(Maybe lol).

Fun hike that starts out as an uphill walk and turns to a more moderate climb that can be assisted with ropes. Our guide Jeanaii made us feel safe and provided us with a lot of history through out the hike. He definitely brought the island spirit and good vibes making the hike that much more enjoyable.

I saw the cable car ride on the TV back home and knew it was something I wanted to do when visiting St Lucia. Pick up was great and on time from our hotel and transfer wasn’t actually too long, about half an hour. On arrival we were met by our guide JC a charming and funny young man who was very knowledgeable. The cable car ride is so peaceful and scenery from the top point is amazing so I’m glad I did this trip. You are later provided with a free drink before being put on the bus to return to your hotel. Nice way to spend a few hours and on a plus side the higher up you travel in the cable car the cooler it gets. A bonus as the weather was so humid during our stay.

Only things I didn’t enjoy, prior to getting on the cable car you are put into a group of 8 and need to line up so they can work out who should sit where in the car. This is to evenly distribute the weight. I understand this needs to be done but felt like being back at school being picked for the sports team. We were sat in the middle of the car (obviously to balance the car). The cable cars have a roof cover to keep you dry ish however the middle seats are directly under where the cable meets the car and there is a hole in the roof cover for this. By the time I got back down I had oil dripped on my white top from the hole.

We had a great time climbing the petit piton! We debated back and fourth about hiring a guide based on other reviews but decided against it. We had absolutely no problems but I can see where a guide would be very beneficial to those who aren’t regular hikers. This hike is definitely for people with upper body strength and no fear of heights. There many sections where ropes are required to get you up a 90 degree wall. It was really fun coming down with the ropes, felt like we were rock climbing without a harness! The view of the gros piton on top was breath taking! An amazing hike if you’re up for a challenge!

The volcano is more like a giant crater. Not what we expected, but still pretty cool. Be prepared, it smells like rotten eggs, but you will get used to it.

We went on a tour of En Bas Saut trail with John from Paradise Excursions. It was around 8km from were we parked, down into the valley (around 1200 stairs I believe!) and back. It was absolutely stunning and we were lucky with the wildlife that we saw - forest crabs, lots of birds, interesting insects and lots of lovely plants. The waterfall was gorgeous and refreshing. We didn't see another person the whole time we were there. We are very glad we went with a guide as we wouldn't have found it otherwise.

My wife and I got connected with Grand Eden through the resort we were staying at (Ladera). We were looking for a nature/birdwatching walk. I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip! Silvo, our guide, picked us up at the resort and drove us to his beautiful property and took us on a great hike. Silvo was very passionate and knowledgeable about all of the plants, herbs, trees and birds that live on and around his property. We saw many interesting birds and also learned about so many plants and how they were used on the island. We roasted cashews fresh off the tree and sampled many fruits right off the tree. It is evident that Silvo is passionate about nature and loves his job as a farmer in St Lucia. Highly recommend!

This is a challenging climb, especially if raining but the waterfall enroute and summit are worth it!

    Beautiful rainforest hike, moderate difficulty
Easy trail, guide not needed. Trailhead is along stunning 3km tarmac track, passable with care in small hire car, keep look out for signs. Or walk from road, where track on right is signed Quiless Forest Reserve and is 6km from jct of main Vieux Fort road, 1km South of Micoud, through Ti Rocher village, where G. Maps shows road almost doing a hairpin. A bus may go along this small road.
The whole trip is well worth the expedition!

Thanks to Clive a regular at Sandals Grande St Lucian for the recommendation. The two J’s did not disappoint from start to finish. Jeremy was an excellent skipper and Johnny be Good kept the party going all day. Lovely group of people from UK and USA. Packed a lot into our day. Snorkelling at Sugar Beach. Sulphur baths and power shower at Soufriere followed by an amazing lunch with Mama. Plenty of Rum Punch and Beers and then to the lovely Marigot Bay before experiencing the love tunnel. Value for money. Great experience. Thank you to the all of the crew and Julian Tours. Until we see you again xx

We’ve been on tours and excursions in many locations from Hawaii to the Caribbean and this was by far the best we’ve ever been on. It was very well organized and the boat crew was excellent. In addition to be very informative about the island to being a comedy review on water. The trip was the best bang for your buck that you will find in St Lucia. Highly recommend that you book with Joy👍👍😁
