What travellers are saying
- SagarSavlaJersey City, NJ186 contributionsVisited here on boys trip to Jamaica. I have always wanted to do cliff jumping and I am glad this was the first place I got to experience it. They give you all the safety equipment. You don’t need to know how to swim. Just be comfortable going in waste and able to swim using the life vests once you jump. The guides were amazing. We did 3-4 jumps and a monkey drop at the end. They allowed us to do some jumps multiple times. It was great fun and very safe. Would recommend this if you want to do this activity. They also had a photographer who takes photographs. You can choose whether to buy or not at the end after seeing the photos. Do bargain a little on the price of the photos if you wish to get it. We tipped the guides at the end. Best thing would be to leave your belongings in your car but if you end up carrying something they have lockers which can be rented for 5$. Entrance was 25$ per person.Written 18 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- aar0815Danvers, MA134 contributionsI can't even begin to explain how amazing this beach is! I absolutely adore strolling along the shore in the morning when everything is calm and serene. And let me tell you, the lively atmosphere in the afternoon is like a live show, haha! Walking along the beach, making a pit stop at Negril treehouse or skylark for a drink, and then hopping on a boat to the island... Honestly, this is my top beach in the whole wide world, and I've been to quite a few!Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J-ROElora, Canada218 contributionsAmazing experience. Our Rafting captain Ronaldo was so much fun. Educated on jamaica and the River tour. Absolutely one of the best tours we have been on. Highly recommend asking for him. You will not be disappointed. 5*Written 15 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carrie A2 contributionsWe had originally planned to go to Dunns River Falls, but staying in Negril, we were too far. This tour was recommended to us and we are SO pleased with the experience. We zip lined with Chris and Patrick and they were amazing - professional, safe, and great personalities. The zip line tour was thrilling, but not too scary for our 10-year old. Then - the falls!! There are lifeguards/guides there at the pools and falls to walk you through the experience and take AMAZING photos. If you plan to use one of these guides, bring tip money because they absolutely earn it. Would 100% go back.Written 22 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Caribbean V40 contributionsThis is allegedly a top beach of the region - and there is many reasons not to question that. It is pristine. It has gorgeous palm trees with gallant notes "watch out for falling coconuts". It has a few nice bars alongside it. Though it is not our preferred way of doing this (most beaches in the region are public) the fact that you need to pay to enter keeps hustling away like in Negril.
The only fact not making it 5 stars is that it is Busy - not without reason written with a capital B here. Yes, this is the Mobay (Montego Bay) strip and an urban environment, that in my opinion does not make it rank top Caribbean beaches, as even in busy resort areas beaches seem to manage to be less crowded. Cruise visitors being guided here makes it worse (is there no other beach nearby, also to improve their experience?). When on a cruise, especially with all there is to see around Montego Bay and Jamaica, we would definitely keep a beach day for other ports. Less hassle in urban traffic, more space. Five resorts are already located around this not so big beach, and they took your towel spot.
So yes, a nice and decent beach and great scenery. Experiencewise, not making my top 20 regionally.Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a long history of families and questionable accidents or killings on the property. The update was remarkable over 60 years ago and worth a visit. Nevertheless, the building is in need of some maintenance and repair. A nice stop for us on our tour.Written 30 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- worldtraipse206 contributionsI mean, you couldn’t come all the way here and not visit the Bob Marley museum to learn about where he lived and worked, but just don’t expect to be wowed. House is small and tours are a bit forced on the humor, but you can enjoy a sea moss (you’ll get the joke after the tour) smoothie outside and then see his bedroom where ahem, music was made. - Stacy CNorwalk, Connecticut, United States7 contributionsSo there is a great stretch of beach in Negril, Jamaica known as Bloody Bay. There are several luxury hotels there. If you are looking for a great local guy to show you around, A1 is the man!! He can arrange any tour or excursion, arrange transportation for you and get you anything you may need during your stay. He took care of my family and I during our stay there last week.Written 16 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RaychelStaffordshire, UK321 contributionsRecently spent 11 days here in Ocho I felt this beach was nice.
It was clean I didn’t see any rubbish around.
You have to pay to enter the beach
200 Jamaican dollars per adult
100 Jamaican dollar per child
750 Jamaican dollar per sunbed
750 Jamaican dollar per umbrella
They should have done a deal for bed and umbrella together.
I didn’t mind paying the entrance fee because it means not everyone is on the beach as people who don’t want to or can’t pay can’t come on the beach.
There is plenty of areas to swim within the floating balls if you go outside the balls you risk being hit by water sports.
They also had lifeguards who were actually doing their jobs and watching the water occasionally whistling if needed.
You’re not allowed playing /footballs in the water.
A man from across the road I think from sandles hotel comes and asks if you would like any food.
We ordered burger and fries 750 Jamaican dollar and fries 500 Jamaican dollar the man was nice and not pushy.
Water was very nice and you can see fish / sea urchins under the water if you have googles.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. No waiting at entrance, purchased tickets and assigned a guide for the 3 of us. We have been to other caves, but this was quite interesting as we saw many bats resting in the 'ceiling', a boa constrictor, and lizard. Guide was very informative, and the tour was finished in about 30 minutes. The current owner (government) seems to be doing a good job preserving its beauty.Written 28 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
