Such a beautiful place! We opted to drive ourselves here instead of going with a larger guided group and that was definitely the right choice for us. By staggering with the larger groups, we were able to get some time in the lagoons by ourselves. We saw a massive iguana on the trail. We gave each other space and were able to get around it without disturbing each other. The entrance fee was $50 USD and it was worth it. Don’t skip this place!

This was an amazing day trip! Wear comfortable shoes and your swimsuit! Hoyo Azul is gorgeous and fun! The staff were wonderful and we all laughed and cheered each other on to jump in! Take plenty of cash, as there is an opportunity to buy photo packages that we were not aware of, so missed out, but we had waterproof cell phone cases so we got a few videos and photos.

Visited while my family took kite surfing lessons next door. Very nice facilities. Great music, good drinks, ok burgers. Very clean bathrooms. Did not charge us an entrance fee either day but we bought drinks and food. Ran out of many menu items on the busy day. Service ok, not great. I had to go ask for menu and go to bar to order on busy day. Upside is they weren’t bugging me to order. Pleasant overall experience!

My husband and I stumbled upon this treasure on the beach on our first day staying at Finest Resort. We shopped a little and I was able to get a massage which was the best I’ve had in a long time and the price beats the prices at the resort! Best of all it was done right on the beach with the sounds of the waves crashing down…so relaxing!! Highly recommend! The ladies that run it are so nice and friendly!

Was the best three hours spent in Punta Cana. It was a pressure to spend that time with you learning from the best. On are next trip to the Dominican will definitely make a point of coming to visit you again. Will spread the word about your great cigars. Thank you again. Sandra and Stephen

A dream come true!! From initial contact Gabi was warm, friendly and helpful! I was kept updated via WhatsApp, picked up from my hotel and taken to the horses. I absolutely loved my horse, Ouzo(?) & could see the love Gabi has for her horses! They are so well trained, patient and good to ride! This was my dream come true to ride along the beach!!! I loved it SO much I went back again 2 days later!!! Nothing disturbs these horses, so you can enjoy, I met a couple where one has never riden a horse and another family who had a child who was 7 never riden a horse. Superb experience, brilliant horses. There are many excursions which say horse riding on the beach though they go on a beach track - Gabi goes in the water and on the beach!!!! I had a small private group booking on both occasions. Highly recommend!!!! And choose Ouzo - he is my fave!! Give him a banana from me :-) xx

Traveling to excursions is never very fun (long drive, lots of stopping for pickups at different resorts), but Amado was a wonderful tour guide. He was informative, funny, and friendly. Our family booked the zip line adventures, lunch, and monkey experience. Some advice.. the zip lining requires ALOT of walking and climbing up steps. Be ready for a workout. It’s run very smoothly and everyone is friendly and helpful. I’m not a huge fan of heights, but it was a blast. The “snack” was actually hotdogs, empanadas, and fruit. Much more than I was anticipating and very much appreciated. The staff provided ample water as well. The presentation during lunch was informative and the samples of coffee and chocolate de leche (and mama Juana) was great! The monkey land experience was a riot. We weren’t prepared for the avalanche of monkeys using us as platforms to get to their food, but once the initial shock wore off, we had so much fun. Pictures are NOT easy to take, so I’d recommend using video and then taking screenshots from the videos (we also bought photos- none are pictured in this review. These are just shots I managed to get). Sergio was a super knowledgeable through all aspects of the tour. Overall, it was a wonderfully run operation all around and I’d recommend it to anyone.

We first found La Perla on trip advisor, so glad we did !! All the best reviews are true. Jeremy was excellent. Easy contact through what’s app, and we got a reply within a few hours. He picked us up with his wife from our hotel, which we had to meet him at the front gate because security sometimes gives him trouble to pass. He took us to his store and told us all about his business as well as the cigar making process. We got to test a cigar- he ever went over how to properly cut, light, store and get the most flavour out of your cigar. Not only did we meet his wife, but also and employee and his daughter. Great prices- much cheaper then the resort and MUCH better quality. Afterwards he gave us a lift back to our resort and answered all of our questions about Dominican Republic. He knows his stuff ! So don’t hesitate and go now !

The experience was top notch. Felt safe and well taken care of the whole time. Not too much pressure to buy extras. Young Boy, our tour guide and Tillo our bus driver were both excellent and really made the experience feel special. We did the zip lines and monkey land and had an awesome experience at both. Worth the price of admission for sure.

Liked this disco chill out spot in Cap Cana. I didnt expect anything like that and I was nicely surprised. Good music, amazing night pool, top brand drinks and nice people. Staff was super friendly and always willing to help and have a chat with you. Unfortunately it was too early and we didnt get the vibe but next time we will visit within week end to have full fiesta !.

Absolutely the best tour possible.Mike personally gives you the tour of Haitian society, a local school, fascinating ancient cave carvings and the usual cigars and chocolate. But the lunch was the best! A local seafood restaurant on the water with incredible seafood at bargain prices!! Lobster for 30 bucks wow!! We will do the same tour again, it was that enjoyable!

The jeep safari was the highlight of our trip to the Dominican Republic. I did a lot of research before booking because I was looking for a unique experience that took us away from touristy areas. I also wanted to pack in as many activities into one tour so that we wouldn’t have to plan multiple excursions. It truly is a private tour experience with no crowds and overcrowded buses. We can’t stop talking about what a great day we had. We started the day at a beautiful beach with amazing views. The photographer with the tour took photos of us on the beach and accompanied us to take photos throughout the day so we didn’t have to worry about having our cameras out while enjoying all of the amazing experiences. Next we were given a keep to drive and we followed our guide through the hills to a small farm. They gave us harnesses and helmets for zip lining. This was our first time going on a zip line and it was a series of 5 lines around the property. Not too scary but perfect for a first timer and would be fine for children. Next we did horseback riding with horses located on the farm. It was about 20 minutes around the property and crossed the river twice. Again, perfect for first timers and people not accustomed to riding horses. We loved the pace and length. Next ,we got back in the jeep to drive to another property. Seeing the small villages, houses and shops along the way gave us a small glimpse at typical life in the D.R. The next property was a farm owned by Christian. Our tour guides educated us about typical plant species found on the island. We got to eat a fresh star fruit, vinegrillo, and pick fresh cinnamon sticks. Next, we had a typical Dominican meal prepared fresh by the women on the farm. The chicken was especially tasty and all was very filling. Then our guides taught us about the process of making coffee and cocoa. We got to taste cocoa beans fresh off the tree- we had no idea they started out in such large pods and were white and slimy. We saw how the coffee and cocoa beans are roasted and then got to grind them. The best part was tasting the finished product. A truly unique and fantastic experience that will stay with us indefinitely. We got to enjoy the coffee and hot chocolate while taking in the amazing views and getting to pet some pigs. The final stop was a cigar factory were we got to roll our own cigars and take them home as a souvenir. There is a shop on site to purchase cigars, coffee, cocoa and other locally made products. I can’t say enough about how excellent our tour guides were and they made sure to answer all of our questions and make sure we got everything we wanted out of the tour. If you come to the D.R. make sure you book a jeep safari with Just safari. You won’t regret it!

We did the full day tour in Jan-23. Highly recommend - we visited stunning locations you wouldn’t be able to visit otherwise, drive across dirt roads along the coast and saw the real DR, off the beaten track.

Took the tour with my wife and we both wanted to drive so we opted for the ATV vs. Buggy. Took us to a plantation with a little gig about the Cocoa (chocolate), Arabica coffee, tobacco and Macajuanna. They give you some samples and try and sell you some. I bought some cigars and they were great!

Next we went to Macao beach which I also reviewed but in short it's cool.

Lastly we went to a Cenote "Water cave" were you could swim in a very small beautiful cave with baby blue waters. It was quite packed though and way too many people at once in a small area in my opinion, with this happening during Covid restrictions.

All in all a good time and I would recommend.
