This tour is totally worth it! We moved at a pretty fast pace but learned a lot about the Dominican culture and had multiple activities including horseback riding, visiting the Basilica of Higüey, souvenir shopping, walking around the local food market, visiting a cigar/tobacco factory, and so much more! My friends and I had an amazing time and Darwin was the best tour guide!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this day tour! Our tour guide, Nacho, and the driver, Enrique, were both amazing. I learned so much about the DR history and saw so many great historic buildings. The included lunch was also AMAZING!! This was a great value! The only thing I would recommend is letting guests know to make sure they eat breakfast. It’s a pretty long day and I was very hungry. Other than that, it was a great tour!

Great excursion! George was great as was our driver Freddie! Friendly, professional, courteous, very knowledgable of Punta Cana! A lot of stops to see different parts of Punta Cana in 1/2 day! I loved that we didn’t spend too much time in one place! The amount of time spent at each stop was perfect! Very informative and great way to see different parts of Punta Cana without overloading you and spending entire day away from beach! It was perfect!

The snorkeling over some sea coral was very enjoyable as I saw various colourful fish and some rays. The crew on the boat were friendly and we had a good time dancing and listening to music. The swimming in the lagoon was refreshing.

The color of the sea and the palm trees of the island make it a movie set. Spectacular. The food is good. The guides very nice and explanatory of each stop. It is a recommendable tour.

The excursion was beautiful and amazing. It was raining the day of the tour, we took the catamaran and in our was it was raining but still we have fun and the staff provides with drinks and food, music and show which was super fun. We stop in a natural pool, we were there around 30 minutes and then we continue to the Saona Beach, which was beautiful. On the beach, they gave us food and drinks and the food was great. We stay in the beach the entire day and around 3:30 we start packing and the rain came back. we took the speedboat, it was raining hard, but we arrived save.

Overall trip was good. Be prepared for a lot of walking. We had good time & took lot of pictures. Also plenty of time to get souvenirs. The only downside was the restaurant we went. Food was not good at all. Everything else was ok.

Starting at 7:30 am, our guide Darwin provided a safe and interactive tour of the Dominican Republic. Highlights included horseback riding (no pressure, can skip out on this but has an amazing Mountain View), visits to a Catholic Church (1 dollar entry) local market, and a delicious buffet lunch with authentic cuisine. Darwin ensured our safety and even helped negotiate prices at the market. He went the extra mile by providing refreshments (avocados, water, soda) and organizing demonstrations on cigar and chocolate-making. Souvenirs were also reasonably price and we bought authentic coffee beans, powdered sugar cane, chocolate, and coconut oil. The day ended with a breathtaking beach visit. For a memorable and safe DR experience, Darwin is the ideal guide who truly goes the extra mile.

This tour was decent overall. Our guide Nector was tons of fun and pretty informative about the experience. We hit everything in the description: took a speed boat to the island, stopped in a “natural pool” which was a shallower part of the ocean, stayed on the island for about 2.5 hours, ate lunch, and came back on the catamaran which took another 1.5-2 hours.

    Pros:
    - the island was pretty beautiful. We got a ton of good pics and they have their own professional photographers to take and edit your pics. Their asking price is pretty high but definitely a lot of room to negotiate.
    - the natural pool was a fun stop. You arrive there on a speed boat so it is pretty quick to get there.
    - tons of optional things to buy on the island. Their pina colada was great!
    - catamaran was fun and they played fun music to dance to
    - free soda and well drinks for the whole day

    Cons:
    - It’s at least an hour drive from Punta Cana to Bayahibe, probably more from Bávaro. The van we went in was okay, but there were a lot of mosquitos in the car.
    - food was okay at best. If you are vegetarian, your options will be limited. Bring some snacks and eat a big breakfast before leaving your hotel.
    - the catamaran back does take a long time. If you are drinking and dancing, it’ll probably fly by, but I wasn’t since I was with family that isn’t too big on that lol.
    - I felt that they should have an option to stay on the island for another hour and take a speed boat back; we definitely wanted to spend a little more time on the beach.
    - the biggest con is that it just takes the whole day. We left at 8:45 and returned at 6:30 and were just so exhausted. Most of the day is just traveling (which is pretty common for any all-day tour)

If you are not staying at an all inclusive resort, this trip is a fun way to get some beach fun in a different setting. This trip is probably a lot more fun if your party enjoys drinking and dancing. That being said, a lot of the day is just traveling to and from the island, so if you want to spend more time on the island, maybe book a private tour. And if you are at an all-inclusive resort, this tour is probably not worth leaving your resort for a whole day lol.

What an amazing place to visit. Truly breathtaking and the trip was really well organized and made it so simple for my son and I. Big shout out to Anna for being so good with the communications pre-trip. Definitely a 5* experience
