- Kristin C2 contributionsWe enjoyed the dive cave, hike to cenote, iguana exhibit, and pool. My spouse did ziplining too. Ziplining has a rock climbing portion on the side of a mountain. Recommend bringing your own towel, and to ask for an itinerary in advance. We got to see the actual city and meet locals, drive the topless jeeps through the town, have a true Dominican meal, zip line, horseback ride, try different fruits, make coffee, roll our own cigars, and more. The tour guides are hilarious and really nice. If you’re going to Punta Cana and want to see the DR outside of your resort, this tour is a MUST! This was one of the best parts of my trip. - BranDanie5 contributionsEddie and Francisco picked us up from our resort and gave us a tour of the Dominican communities. They were very friendly. Eddie was very knowledgeable on the culture and Francisco was a fantastic safe driver. Monkey land was amazing. They gave you plenty of time to take photos with your own camera and they also offered professional photos you can buy at the end which was worth it. The monkeys were well taken care of and the facility was clean. Would love to do it again and would highly recommend if you are visiting to do it at least once. The views of the mountain were amazing. The coffee, coconut, sugar, and rum tour was very informative and fun. But that didn't take away from us swimming in the natural pool and ocean. We got to get on a haunted ship with other party boats. Then you go to the island where you have lunch around 12 and you have some time to relax here. - Jamie T2 contributionsWe went on a boat excursion to soana island and experienced being treated like cattle, whistles blown at us and health & safety was a joke (that included the food offered!) we decided to book an exclusive boat with blue marine. From beginning to end it was amazing. Made to feel comfortable private boat to play our own music - food drink flowed freely and was given by staff like we had our own butler and maid service. The snorkelling was great and the natural pool was peaceful and calm. The whole trip was a pleasure with a special mention to NICKY our host who knew we wasn’t there to party and dance and respected our relaxing calm day on the sea.

- Andrea B1 contributionThis was such an amazing experience!! First stop was Redonda Mountain, the view was spectacular. Next stop was the plantation, where we learned a lot about how coffee and chocolate are made. Had a delicious lunch and got to swim in the waterfall. Last stop was Los Haitises National Park, getting on the water and seeing the mangroves and then the cave was pretty neat. The guide was awesome and very informative. This excursion is all day but it was definitely worth getting out of the resort and getting to see more of the Dominican Republic.
