We had a remarkable cooking experience with our personal chef Roody. He taught us all about Dominican cuisine, various rums, and so much more. He was funny and kind, and walked us through each part of the cooking process. He even showed us how to beautifully and creatively plate our fish. We would highly recommend this experience for anyone and we will certainly be back.

If you are looking for sth to do for a couple of hours away from your hotel this is a lovely fun experience if you enjoy good quality rum. If you are expecting a tour of how rum is made this is not for you, you learn a little bit about the history of the particular brand of rum and then get to enjoy 4 excellent aged rums with food pairings of cheese and jam (jelly), grapes and honey and chocolate and salt. It is amazing how the taste changes once paired with the three types of food pairings . The rum tasting is at the back of a souvenir shop . The tour guide Felix was very nice and welcoming and made the tour enjoyable

What a great day! Tour as described and when they say you will get dirty; they aren’t kidding. Wear water shoes on the buggies - trust me!
The meal provided is excellent and even my picky eater ate it.
The communication with punta cana transfer is one of a kind.
Next time we are in punta Cana we will be booking through them for sure.
The guys running the events were so kind and nice with our kids. I was very impressed

Both Anthony’s were great! Felix really made a great sale. We love our chocolate cigars and variety packs we smoke immediate upon back to resort. Loved the whole experience and my wife just loved participating which unusual she loved the people the chocolate history and variety of beans. Do this and shop for souvenirs much better price than resort.

Don Alexander is a great guy. However, this excursion is nothing more than a $5 taxi ride to be sold to. It is not a cigar shop, but your typical Caribbean shop selling trinkets with an 8 foot sections of cigars that were actually made in the store, as well as fake Cuban cigars, but he is honest about them being fake. There is someone rolling cigars in the shop that you can watch, but I do not believe he speaks english. So you only get to watch him make them. Looking at the description of the tour now, I may have had expectations that were different than what they should have been.

Anyways, Don will give you a free cigar that the cigar roller made, which was actually very good. And then he will proceed to sell you some cigars. He started out trying to sell me 100 cigars, which would last me many many years. I did enjoy the stick he gave me, so I purchased 25 cigars from him for $7 per and we also bought some gifts for family back home.

I did smoke one cigar after I got home, and it was full strength. The rest will sit in my humidor for a while before I try another. If they are good, Don said we can order again over the phone and he will ship them to us, which I may end up doing.

Just know exactly what to expect when you go. We left the resort that was 30 minutes away at 9:30 and returned back to the hotel at 12. Our resort is far away so we were unable to get trinkets and gifts anywhere else, so this was well worth it to us. This is an extremely cheap tour, so if it’s worth it to you to go, then go for it!

Macao Surf Camp was an amazing experience for my teen son! Sammy was his private instructor and had him up and surfing on his second try! This business was great to deal with and easily accommodated a last minute reservation change due to one of my sons being ill and allowed us to use it later in the week.

I recommend the optional drone footage "add on" when you arrive as well!

Overall great experience and great time! Definitely recommend!

Favorite part was actually getting to cook and learning the tradition and culture behind the sancocho. Amelia was a great teacher and very knowledgeable about the ingredients. It is definitely a dish I can make at home.

This place is amazing! The store layout is easy to navigate. The shop itself is in a beautiful setting. We had a van pick us up from our resort which made it so convenient. The shop has beautiful merchandise, and their selection of Larimar jewelry is the best I’ve ever seen. Karyne was wonderful to work with. When we were finished shopping we sat in a gazebo lounge sipping rum drinks until the van arrived to take us back to our hotel. It was one of the best shopping experiences I have had! Thank you Karyne for my beautiful jewelry!
