It was such a great time. I'm in the cove. It was a unique experience that I've never done before. The several jumps and slides were very fun and the water was clear and woke us up instantly. Our guides were fun and upbeat, including Jennifer, always making us laugh. The food was very good at the end, along with some fun dancing.. would recommend

This was such a fun tour. Get ready to be covered in mud. I would suggest water shoes for this activity. All the boys that help run the tour were very sweet and extremely helpful 10 out of 10 recommend this tour.

Our tour guide “Junior” was a kind & gracious man! He treated us like special guests! He was bi- lingual (Spanish/English) which was a huge asset.

Used Dominican Vip Transfers for my airport transfer from Puerto Plata International Airport to my resort. The driver was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, making for a smooth journey. Excellent communication made everything seamless. Highly recommended!

Bejilio picked us up right outside the cruise port on time, and we boarded his bus. We went on a 25-30 minute drive through the city and up to the Damajagua waterfall entrance. Booking this ticket was wonderful because Bejilio drove us up, got us fitted with life jackets and helmets, and we immediately got to join in to the waterfall activity without waiting in any lines like many other huge cruise groups had to do. Bejilio then stayed at the car area while we took our 2-hour waterfall adventure, which was awesome! About 30 minutes of hiking up but with enough rest stops to not exhaust yourself. A few awesome jumps and slides through the waterfalls, and then a nice easy walk back to the front, where Bejilio met us again and directed us to the buffet line for lunch. He sat with us and we got to talk to him, and he was very friendly and kind! After lunch, we changed to fresh clothes and then drove about 10-15 minutes to another stop, where a sweet group had us try hot cocoa, mango (amazing), guava, a cigar (and we got to practice rolling a cigar), and the native alcohol, mamajuana. All were fabulous! We then went inside to their little gift shop and found some goodies, mainly coffee grounds and a box of cigars. Bejilio then drove us another 10-15 minutes back to the cruise port. The entire experience was about 4.5-5 hours. We had a wonderful time and recommend highly! We got a selfie with Bejilio at the end. He was a wonderful guide and we just loved having someone drive us around and show us the ropes of the DR rather than a huge cruise excursion!

Our guide was the best. It was just me and my cousin. He showed all the places on the trip plus some. He was knowledgeable of the area and history. He was very polite, friendly, and professional. His van was very clean and in great condition.

He also took photos of my cousin and I at each stop. Because he wanted to make sure we loved his country as much as he did, he went above and beyond to give us great memories and pictures. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had such a blast. I would totally recommend doing this trip but make sure you read the reviews beforehand so you know what to expect. We were in Jordan's group and he was amazing. He linked us up with Jacobo at Damajagua and he really made everything feel safe.

Here's a summary of the reviews and what I experienced:
    1. You have to walk to the bus. I call this the walk of savings. The bus is nice.
    2. You leave everything except your shorts and your suit and your waterproof shoes in the bus. The bus is safe. My wallet and phone were just fine in the bus. Wear shoes you can tighten up so they stay on and you don't slip. Wear shorts that you don't mind sliding on rocks in and that prevent chub rub, and wear a suit that is comfortable. They'll provide you with a lifejacket and a helmet and a plastic water bottle that you'll drink on the hike up and then deposit in a trash can before you start the slide down.
    3. You can bring your phone for pictures if you have a waterproof case and there is more than one of you so someone can take pictures. The later falls have better locations for pictures than the earlier ones. Your phone won't get knocked around, you can tuck it into your life vest.
    4. You need to be comfortable swimmer, your head will go underwater with each slide and jump. The lifejacket will pop you back up but you'll be under for a second or two.
    5. The hike up is a hike up with plenty of stairs but even the out of shape people in my group made it.
    6. It is kind of like a conga line. Pretty much everyone from the two ships comes to do this but it's fun despite all the people, the sliding and jumping and laughing with your friends and family is great.
    7. I thought this particular trip group size made it really fun. I made several friends that I enjoyed chatting with and cheering on as we went down the slides. I thought this excursion was the best for the price, group size and quality.
    8. There are like 8 or 9 slides/jumps. It's a good amount and makes the outing and the hiking feel worth it. The water is on the colder side but feels really refreshing and nice.
    9. Bring cash to tip your guide at Damajagua (they won't be on the bus with you, ours was Jacobo), your guide with the tour company (ours was Jordan), and your bus driver.
    10. I don't drink but our bus loved the rum punch, we liked just the punch.

Guided up to the zip wires on a steady hike. Zip wires were awesome. Five in total I believe. Great fun.
Next came the waterfalls. Although I felt a little nervous I absolutely loved the adrenaline from jumping and being guided down. Such a brilliant experience.
I believe you could hire water shoes for $8 but we brought our own. We needed to hire a locker ($8) but that fit 2 rucksacks in.

We all enjoyed this excursion so much! It had rained all morning, so we had a muddy ride. The guides took great care of us and made it so fun. We had a couple stops along the way — each with unique and insightful experiences. Not to mention, the views were stunning. The videographer/photographer put together a fun package for us and the price was reasonable :) overall, a great experience and would happily book with them again.

AMAZING!!! Highly, highly recommend regardless of your ability / confidence riding horses. The staff are so friendly and helpful, their English is great. We had Pedro & Antonio, both of whom were charming. They took pictures and videos of us the whole time on my phone, so no additional charge for pictures. They answered all our questions and generally had friendly chats with us. They took us through the village and farms and on to the beach, all of which was stunning. I honestly cannot recommend highly enough. For all animal lovers, the horses were well maintained and not jittery at all. Also worth noting they picked us up and dropped us back off at our cruise ship terminal, with frequent communication via WhatsApp explaining exactly where to meet them for pick up (just at the entrance to the port, by the souvenir shops). Bucket list item ticked off!

Very good company. Anthony was very prompt in contacting us through SMS and WhatsApp, and has adjusted the tour to our needs. The price was reasonable and Diomi, our guide we had was a blast. We would recommend Anthony Tours wholeheartedly.

Loved this tour! It was magical riding along the beach at sunset. Horses were obviously well cared for and the guides were encouraging and energetic. Would highly recommend this activity.

It was a good tour that allowed us to see much of the City. Carlos was very accommodating.

Only issue is that cable car is not working and will not be for next few years. Need to tell us this since cable car 10 minute ride in past is now 40 minute car ride each way.
