What an amazing experience. My gf and I did the VIP transport & were picked up from our hotel in Santo Domingo. Alex was our driver, and guide and WOW was he great! The experience is roughly 12 hours and Alex was supporting us from start to finish. He was so friendly, attentive, has great knowledge of the country , and overall he’s just a great human being. I would definitely recommend and will be doing another tour in Santo Domingo tomorrow with them.

This tour was overall a wonderful experience in the amazing city of Santo Domingo. Few cities can boast about having such a beautiful historic district as well as the natural cave and lake wonder of Tres Ojos National Park. The tour guide Miguel was knowledgeable and led our group with multilingual finesse. He went above and beyond to assist and share the story of his city. However an initial blip occurred regarding the posted pick up location. The driver never showed up at the appointed time. Upon phone call to the tour company, I was simply told to find a ride somehow to meet up with the rest of the group at Tres Ojos. Frustrating to say the least! Once I found the group though the experience was great and would highly recommend!

This was my first activity in the DR, and still among the top - an adventurous yet really peaceful trek as you go up the multiple waterfalls and swim in the clear blueish water while the lush green nature surrounds you anywhere you look, including up! The breakfast and lunch are also delicious.

Ronnie is also a fantastic guide! friendly, on time, funny, and really knowledgeable and passionate about his country and its nature. I joined a group of only another 3 travelers and we had virtually the entire hike for ourselves, which just made the experience even better.

I truly recommend this to anyone that likes to see a little more of the "Real" DR and isn't afraid to get a "bit" wet. 5/5

Great excursion! Rueben was an amazing tour guide, very informative and made the entire experience memorable! My first time visiting Santo, home of some of my ancestors Lizzimore. Thank you for helping me connect with them through the island!

Overall trip was good. Be prepared for a lot of walking. We had good time & took lot of pictures. Also plenty of time to get souvenirs. The only downside was the restaurant we went. Food was not good at all. Everything else was ok.

It was a super fun day and our guides were amazing! The water is pretty shallow at the actual island.

Immaculate and clean vehicles, driver was very polite and friendly. Our family felt very safe and comfortable with our driver junior. We will definitely keep using this service and recommend to others looking for a safe and reliable service.

What a tour! It was awesome. I love traveling that allows me to see more local culture and less American-centered culture. I don’t love tours that cater to American tastes. This wasn’t that! We tried a nice handful of little bites from “in the cut” places that we hadn’t tried before. We visited Chinatown, Little Haiti, zona colonial, and outside the city. I would’ve loved if the tour was a little longer actually! Woulda loved to try a few more things. But overall it was a good time. Even though he clarified that it’s not a history tour, he gave us great history facts. We had done a history tour already so his little tidbits were perfect fillers to what we had already learned. We were with Francis and he was just super nice and was able to answer all our questions. Would recommend!

Pack your patience. The description says the total travel time is 4 hours, 2 hours after pickup and 2 hours on the return. The travel time was close to 6 hours total! At no time was I told that the bus was not allowed on the resort until after I purchased and 24 hours before pickup (too late to cancel). I wish that information was included when they asked where you want to be picked up. We had to find a ride to entrance since it was pretty far. Once initially picked up (they were 20 minutes late), we drove about 45 minutes to another drop off spot and waited about 15 minutes for another, smaller bus. We were told it was because the streets of Santo Domingo we small and narrow and not equipped for large buses. I was a little surprised our guide was not on the bus with us at this point. Once we arrived in Santo Domingo, we met our guide. He was a nice guy; English wasn’t the best, but we were able to keep up. At this point, it was after 12pm and we were so hungry, we asked about lunch, and he told us it wouldn’t be until around 1pm. Because we left so early, we were unable to get breakfast, so I suggest you pack a snack. Lunch was good. It was grilled chicken, rice, black beans, salad, and a few vegetarian choices. It was a buffet that you could revisit if you needed a second helping. Lots of walking as expected and then we headed back around 4pm. We did not get back to our resort (Royalton) until 7:40pm. Based on the site, this was way beyond the 2-hour window documented. Overall, the tour was ok, I just wish we knew the actual travel time was way longer than what was posted.

This tour is a must do!!!!
José is the best guide ever…not only he took us around the colonial zone telling us all the history, but he also went above and beyond showing us all the places where the locals go, recommending the best restaurants and lugares que no te puede perder ❤️
We had the best time ever and learned so much about Dominican Republic.
We fall in love with the neighbourhood, the vibes and the people..so much that we spent the day there and we ended up eating, drinking and dancing all day long in all the places that he recommended to us!!
Trust me, if you are in Santo Domingo go to Zone Bike and spend the best 2 hours of your day with José and his team ❤️

We had a fabulous experience with Mama Juana. And I highly recommend contacting them for your tour preferences..I felt valued from the time of inquiry and working with Gelison Rufino..to get our trip booked and paid for. He was very professional, helpful and patient. our driver Alex made all aspects of our day special...he made our long drives enjoyable by sharing history and information about the regions we drove through, he made sure all our needs were mer and guided us to each part of our tour. He added a bonus walk in when we arrived early to our destination. His kind fun loving attitude made our day special. Mama Juana tours excels in customer service. Beautiful location and history.
