We had an amazing time on this excursion. The snorkeling was not the best I’ve done as far as the fish we saw, but the Fun that was had on this boat was a 10. Ivan, Eduardo and Salsa were the perfect Hosts. On our way back we saw several sea turtles, stingrays and a starfish!

Overall, good. Saona island is a beautiful beach. Drive time on bus was about 4 total hours out of the day. Left at 6:40a got back at 7:30p. Didn’t realize it was only a one way catamaran ride and the other way was considered a speed boat, but went just as fast as the catamaran. Got blasted with salt water in my face the entire time on the speed boat.

“Open bar” is only on the catamaran, but only option is cheap rum and local cola selection of sprite or coke, no ice. Soana island did have more options for open bar, but still very limited and food was decent.

It was a mad house getting in the bus to go home and after waiting about 10 min for 4 ppl, the tour left and those ppl had to find a ride back on their own. They did say if they saw someone drinking too much they would not serve them any more, but one guy was super drunk and the crew was aware, but gave him one last drink because he was causing a fit about it. Unfortunately, he sat near us the entire ride home being belligerent.

My family had an amazing time today on Happy Fish IV today. The crew kept us entertained the whole time, took pictures and videos for us, and even stopped so we could see a sea turtle.

Our crew was the best part. So kind and accommodating. (Shout out to Jorge, George, David, Dominican Kevin Heart and one more whose name I can’t recall right now)

Our group included my 7 year old daughter. I was worried this may be too rowdy, but it was not at all. The music was great, the drinks were flowing, but everyone had a great time.

We had a wonderful time on our tour. Tito and Robinson were great guides and very knowledgeable about the towns and sites. We were surprised by how much we were able to see and do during our time and enjoyed every minute. We highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see more of the Dominican Republic beyond just the beaches and tourist areas.

It was such a great time. I'm in the cove. It was a unique experience that I've never done before. The several jumps and slides were very fun and the water was clear and woke us up instantly. Our guides were fun and upbeat, including Jennifer, always making us laugh. The food was very good at the end, along with some fun dancing.. would recommend

We booked this excursion through our hotel. Pickup was straightforward and we arrived at the park pretty much as it was opening. We really enjoyed all the activities that we took part in, but we felt that the signage and logistical communications could have been much better. The park is huge with different activities being a fair hike apart. We ended up having to criss-cross the park multiple times because the timing of the different activities and the fact that the only lockers were in the front made it difficult to have an efficient way to work across the park. Some of the activities opened and closed without notice or were only scheduled to operate at certain times which weren't posted anywhere which was frustrating.
OUR DAY: We got to the park, put most of our stuff in a locker, and then carrying just our water bottles and our phones in waterproof bags with neck straps, we decided to do the superman zipline first. We walk all the way across the park to the access point for the zipline and find it still closed. Someone tells us that they open at 9:30, it's 9:15 now, no big deal, we will wait. About 9:40 someone comes and removes the rope to allow access up the stairs to the launch point, we start climbing. Part way up we see a big sign saying that you are not allowed to carry anything with you on the ride, even eyeglasses! We decide we better go put our stuff back in the lockers on the other end of the park! Once we get back to the front of the park we decide, we might as well do the ropes course and cave first since those are pretty close to the main entrance. We get there at a little after 10 and we are told that the cave is a guided tour and it will leave at 10:30 or 2:00, which was never stated anywhere so we decide we had better wait around so we get into the 10:30 tour. The cave was cool but a LOT of steps up and down so be prepared. That took about an hour, so by the time we get back to the start point it is 11:30 and we've only done one thing! We decided that our priorities were to do the ziplines and the cenote. We blew off the ropes course and decided to have an early lunch since we were close to the restaurant at this point and everything else was much further away. So after lunch I go to talk to guest services to ask about the glasses thing since I am blinder than a bat, there is no way I can walk around the park without them. They tell me that I can totally wear my glasses on the ziplines since I did have a sports strap for them, and we can even take our phones as long as they are on the straps (man, if we'd known that we could have done the superman at the start of the day!). He also explained that there are two different zipline courses besides the superman line, one wet and one dry that both launch from the same place. Ok, so our plan is set, we will do the dry course which circles all the way around and comes back to the main launch site and then we will do the wet course that ends up at the pool area. We head over to the zipline launch site and they tell us that only the wet course is running right now, so we pivot and decide to do the wet course. It is totally fun but ends up at the far corner of the resort. We are now near the starting point of the cenote hike so decide to do that next. The walk was about 3/4 of a mile in and the same back out, which we knew and we were fine with. We totally loved swimming in the cenote. You could go behind the little waterfall and there was even a jumping platform. My only complaint was that I NEEDED water. We hadn't been able to carry any with us on the ziplines and I didn't think to stick any money in my phone case and I was dying. Coming off the hike we ended up near the start point for the superman zipline and decided that doing that next would bring us back to the lockers (and my water) just as quickly as walking back down. So we huffed and puffed all the way back up the million stairs and zipped down to the central hub. Yes! Water finally! By now it was about 2:30 and we had until about 4 before we needed to head back to the lockers and bus so we decided to spend the last hour at the massive pool area. It was a bit chilly but was fun to relax there before finally heading back to the lockers and out to find our bus. The activities that we missed were the cave swim, the ropes course, and the dry ziplines. There was no way I could see having time to do the extra cost activities (buggies and rock climbing) so I'm glad that we didn't bother trying. Overall, fun, but exhausting (we walked over 20k steps). Hubby was impressed by how clean and well maintained everything felt. We just wish that there had been a clear schedule of activities and lockers up near the main pool would have been great.
