The tour operator didn't show up at the Bagdogda airport as agreed. I never got contact with then, not before, not after they ghosted me. I already wrote a request for full refund. Even doble refund doesn't cover the stress I experienced while standing in front of the airport alone. I wasn't born yesterday, I can deal with unexpected situations. On the other hand, I booked the tour and paid for it not to need to figure out everything myself.

Had a wonderful 6 day trek along the Singalila Ridge. We were a bit unlucky with the weather, with a lot of fog and wind the first days. Nevertheless, the views along the road, with blossoming rhodedentros and orchids were great. From Phalut the weather cleared up, and we got a glimse of the mighty Knachenjunga. The small villages of Gorkhey and Timburay were the higlights of the trek.

Our guide, Mr Rupesh Tamang, was an awesome companion during the trek. Always cheerful, helpful and fun to hang around with!

Would highly recommend Ashmita Trek & Tours. From pickup at the airport to taxi to our next destination, they nice and easy to do business with!

Darjeeling is one of the most scenic and hugely popular hill resorts in India. At 2,134 meters above mean sea level, it is 686 km from Kolkata in West Bengal. Amidst the backdrop of the mighty snow-clad Himalayan peaks, Darjeeling has been popular with tourists for its beauty and pleasant climate. You can get a clear view of the world’s third highest peak, Kanchenjunga, from the town on a sunny day. Avoid the monsoons as Kanchenjunga is not visible. Skip June, July and August and definitely avoid December and January.

I have booked the package because I found it is the cheapest than other travel agencies. While traveling with my wife I did not feel any difficulty, because it was well planned and organized by the agency. And the contact person from the agency(Arpana) was so cooperative. Even while at night 3 am I called her for help, she immediately arranged what I needed. Thanks for making my trip successful 😊.

We did Dzongri trek with Ashmita... Last year we had done Sandhakphu trekking with the same team... It was a really nice experience... The arrangement was made by them was really good.. Our guide Sangay was there with us through out the journey... He is really helpful in nature and our cook used to prepare delicious food for us... None of the dishes were repeated during our trek... We tried different dishes... I would like to thank Ashmita trek and tour and our guide without them it was not possible to complete the trek Successfully

It is the excellent trip to North East India. Although it is very disappointed that I cannot get the permit to Sikkim. However, the Folk Tales reorganised the itinerary. We visit the Kaziranga National Park which is much much better than Royal Chitwan national Park. We can see the wild rhino, deer, buffolo in short distance. The living root bridges had their distinguishing feature and wisdom of tribes. The visit of Kongthong village is very fantastic and relax. The local guide and people are very friendly. The impression of North East India is peaceful, quite and clean. It is worth to have vacation in North East India. Thank you Gaurav to arrange this amazing trip. I would join the Folk Tales again to visit India soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. All the hotels were good and the conveyance were also well managed. I think we covered almost everything. We were lucky enough to not encounter rain during our sight seeing timings. We also got the view of Kanchenjunga from our room in Pelling. That was the highlight.😊

This tour was absolutely outstanding: amazing views of Himalayan snow capped mountains, fascinating insights into culture and monasteries of Sikkim and great food. But especially good was our wonderful local guide Bipendra whose cheerfulness , many talents and knowledge made our tour fun. To make your trip even more special, I recommend staying in the luxurious 4 star Elgin hotels for a taste of Raj heritage. Also be aware that Sikkim requires extra passport photos and photocopy of passport.
