We had a fantastic time Kloofing with Warren and Steph! It was so much fun, and we would highly recommend this experience! The experience combined abseiling, canyoning, zip lining and jumping into pools of water. It was great! We were pushed out of our comfort zones in a fun, but safe manner. Warren and Steph are both incredibly experienced, and we felt very safe at every stage knowing they were in complete control. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience, and we will be recommending this to anyone we know who is visiting the area!

Repelling into the Canyon, jumping off rocks into the water below, zip lining and seeing spectacular views of the canyon as we walked and swam through the canyon was incredible! Puna and Julian, our guides were spectacular. They experience was safe, exhilarating and so much fun! This two hour adventure was the highlight of our trip to South Africa!

Beautiful cats, which look generally well and relaxed. Loved the passion of our guide who explained interesting details about each species and their current status in SA

Visited here with the Mrs’ and was pleasantly surprised as I wasn’t a fan of Monkeyland next door.
Saw some really interesting birds and managed a few decent photos.
Highlight was right up the top seeing the flamingos being fed, lowlight was having some kind of duck peck at my feet and undo my shoelaces.
    All in all, 8 on 10 👍🏻

Happy to see this project running. A lot of these animals will not survive in the wild as they are rescued and have been through a lot. They come from places where they have been humanised, domesticated, and physically abused - therefore some are permanently damged, so the sanctuary do provide what I thought was the best environment they could with the money and support they receive/d (far better than many zoo's I have sadly seen). Our tour guide Basil was very informative and knowledgeable and showed great compassion for the animals as well as his gratitude on our feelings too toward what they do for the animals. The animals showed playfulness, and some animals hide and sleep as they do and some do not bother to roam that far when well looked after. We saw almost all of them, though. This is not a zoo nor a place to showcase animals, it is a place where they are treated and taken in so they can die peacefully rather than throwing them into the wild, unadapted and unexperienced or physically impaired.

Wow…. This was something so different and so real.
The people that run this place are truly special.
The knowledge and genuine care for the centre and all that it encompasses is beyond.
We slept in a fab self catering chalet directly in front of the lions and surrounded by the other cats…. The dinner on our first night, breakfast and our picnic lunch all prepared by the most caring of gentlemen, Davidson was second to none.
Len, his wife and all the staff give their everything to this place and it shows… heart and soul. Couldn’t ask for anything more…

This is my second visit to Tenikwa. The people here care so much about the animals and birds in their care. We had a very knowledgeable guide, I think his name is Mwisi and he had so much patience and tried his best to show us all the animals but the Leopard hid away in the hot sunny air. The “camps” for the different animals are large and have lots of bushes and trees.
I can recommend any lover of animals to visit this sanctuary. I will return!

I only had the weekend to spend roaming around Port Elizabeth and I am super happy to have chosen to book Alan Tours! They have truly made my first visit to South Africa memorable as Andrew (guide) came to fetch me on time from my hotel at 8am. He navigated along the sea coast showing fabulous sites including the Nelson Mandela University, Plettenberg Bay and small towns until we reached the Wild Flower Reserve. There, he prepared a breakfast picnic for us with pressed-coffee and buttered cookies. He also took initiative to get great pictures via my phone or his phone, which he later on sent me via WhatsApp. There was also no dull moment with Andrew as he named most plants, flowers and insects/animals thought the trip. He made sure I was comfy, safe and hydrated throughout the day.
Next stops were the Storms River Bridge and Jeffrey’s bay with breath-taking views. As we made our way to Tsitsikamma National Park, he not only stated facts about the sites we came across but also shared fun stories about his tour guide career from Namibia across RSA. I appreciate his openness and imparted passion about his work & love of nature.
We had lunch in the Crags just by the sea shore. Offered choices on the menu were great seafood, burger, salad or meat selections - mid-priced, not cheap ones. After which, we went to the Monkey Land and just beside it, Birds of Eden. The animals were so cool! Locals, and Andrew mentioned, go to those sites during school trips. But hey, if you’re an animal lover as myself, they are definitely worth checking!
We headed back around 17:00 just in time to get to pass through the Bloukrans bridge before sunset - one of the highest global bungee jumping sites. Andrew asked where I preferred to be dropped off and we reached the hotel back at 19:30. The garden route tour was superb! I recommend this tour as it differs from the normal big 5 park or game reserves, seeing more sites towards the west coast of Port Elizabeth.

This local based tour company is well knowledged of the area and provides a professional service to the clients in terms of site history and places of interest.
Celine my tour guide for the Xi'an part demonstrated lots of passion and information of all the sites that we visited. She was extremely friendly and provided good support to everyone's needs. The Terracotta Warriors were amazing to see and also the Xian City Wall. I highly recommend Travel China Guide as a tour company choice for any China trip.
