What travellers are saying
- Krishna Rathore1 contributionOur spectacular 2 days of trekking was planned, managed and led by Shammi who is an exceptional leader and guide. Shammi has boundless energy and a wealth of local knowledge that will ensure that you miss nothing on a trek, stay safe and have a truly wonderful and enjoyable experience. Shammi arranged all food and accommodation for our trek and we wanted for nothing. He made us very aware of altitude sickness and made sure we avoided that. We walked over glaciers, across avalanche areas, across rivers, and numerous beautiful villages . It was truly the trip of a lifetime and I can highly recommend Shammi as your guide in Kareri lake and I cannot believe that he could be bettered. The people we met through Shammi and the spectacular scenery experiences he afforded us will never be forgotten. I must also thank Munna bhaiya for his part in helping us enjoy such an exceptional experience.Written 16 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Aashal SMumbai26 contributionsMasrur temples:
The complex of the rock cut temples of Masrur were carved out of the hillside in the 8th century, and, because of the ASI’s incredible restoration work, the intricacy of the carvings can be seen even today. Very imposing, and a definite must-see
It takes a while to reach ( almost 1.5 hours from dharamshala) but well worth it.
Suggestion : if you are flying into gaggal airport early in the morning do the masrur temple and then head towards dharamshala
Much of the temple complex is broken due to the earthquake of 1905, but its past beauty can be clearly seen .
It gets quite hot in the summer afternoons, especially because there’s not much shade, so keep yourself hydrated, keep sunscreen and a sun hat handy . Ideally try to reach masrur either early in the morning or in the evening
Keep around 30 min _ 1 hour ( dep on your interest) for you to soak in this beauty
Good bathroom facilities are available.
Lots of good spots to take photos/selfies.
Also, mind the bees. They’re harmless, but circle people quite a bit.Written 23 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Akshay SharmaNew Delhi, India9,325 contributionsThis was the second time we went into this Fort with a few of our friends to show them around. The fort is well maintained and has multiple vantage points that provide good views and photo shoot opportunities. There is a provision of potable and free drinking water at the top. The audio guide is available at the ticket counter and one is advised to avail of the same for a fruitful experience of the fort. There is a private museum of the kings adjacent to the fort and one should visit this museum also for a complete experience.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vagabond TravellerJaipur District, India29 contributionsA really good temple. Although it's in a very narrow lane. So it is advisable to leave ur vehicle outside the lane somewhere if travelling by ur own car.Written 2 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Akshay SharmaNew Delhi, India9,325 contributionsThis is an old temple of Shiva and Gorkha Rifles have made a free public swimming pool which is very popular with the tourists as well as local public. About a km trek from this temple there is a famous Bhagsu water fall. One can also have a glimpse of the same through the outskirts of the temple premises.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Rajesh KumarPalampur, India29 contributionsThe temple was built by Pandavas and is located on a hill top. It is about 20 Kms from Palampur town and is accessible by road. you just need to do last 500 mtr after the veh parking.
It has a beautiful 360 degree view. While coming down one must walk about 400 mtr along the ridge line to cross the mobile tower, it is almost a cliff after then and you have a spectacular view of Dhaulandhar ranges from there.Written 16 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Footprints727663987 contributionsI went to Dhauladhar National Park.
