She gave us a lot of background on everyday life of market vendors. And she went out of her way to find places we’d enjoy. Overall a great experience and highly recommended!! - Linda N11 contributionsGaren was kind as she waited for me as I was running late from the airport. I wanted to learn about Taiwan as it was my first visit. She was fun, passionate, enthusiastic, and efficient walking and talking to me on this tour. I learned more about part of my heritage as well as the political and memorable moments of what protection for the people meant. My favorite part of the tour was seeing the artifacts museum and going to Longshan temple! Bonus was that I learned how to commute within the city. It was abit chaotic at the initial meeting point with multiple tours meeting at the same time, but the tour guides are pros and it all went smoothly. - RBB1 contributionWe arrived in Taipei after a 5 week trip to SE Asia. I had been to Taipei previously but my wife had not. After getting a good night sleep our guide Winnie met us at our airport hotel. She arrived early and waited for us while we finished our breakfast. She was very friendly and provided us with a briefing of what we could do in the 6 hours that we had to explore the city. She was very interested in making sure that we did what we were interested in doing and also recommended must see attractions. She was also very conscious about making sure that we could get back to the airport in time to check in for our flight.
Aside from being extremely knowledgeable and personable, she was extremely funny. We spent more of the day being entertained while being educated.
I cannot speak highly enough about Winnie and how much we enjoyed her company and the day tour. Our dumpling lunch was delicious and we saw the changing of the guards and had our first bubble tea. - David R9 contributionsI cannot thank Donna enough for an amazing two-day trip in Taiwan. I would give her 6 stars if I could. I had never been to Taiwan before, and she did a phenomenal job of making sure I saw the big sights while also showing me some hidden local gems. She has some amazing friends that treated me so kindly when I showed up. I loved both the city and the outskirts of Taipei, and she was outstanding at ensuring we efficiently went from place to place, either by taxi, metro, or bus. I also loved that she encouraged me to use my rudimentary Mandarin despite her being fluent in English.
