If you want extensive guiding, this isn’t the tour for you. Our guide gave us a good mix of guiding us to places and setting us loose to enjoy a bit of time independently. Our guide was very sweet and informative, letting us know about each destination between stops on the bus. Our tour guide, Hicks Wang, accommodated our request to start a half hour earlier with pickup at the Keelong cruise terminal. We left the sights to visit up to him and he did not disappoint. Hicks managed our time efficiently and got us to two different changing of the guard ceremonies right on time. This was our first time in Taiwan and thanks to Hicks, we got a great overview of the island along with its history. Hicks made sure we were well informed by answering our questions and ensuring that we were comfortable. He also took great photographs of the two of us. His English was very good which is important to enjoying your tour. - Jacqueline Vo7 contributionsWe had an amazing day with our guide, Nicholas, who went above and beyond to make our tour unforgettable. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel lobby, Nicholas was attentive and ensured we had a great time despite the rain. He took us to all the must-see spots in Yehliu, Jiufen, and Shifen, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He helped us take lots of pictures, introduced us to delicious local cuisine, and gave us great tips for the rest of our trip. Nicholas was always prompt with his communication and made sure we felt safe. Thanks to his local insights, we were able to avoid the heavy foot traffic and truly enjoy the sites. - eva2 contributionsWe really enjoyed the bike tour. Mike, our guide, was very knowledgeable and explained various interesting points about taipei‘s history. Rinding the bikes was pleasant - even when we rode on the street with traffic it felt safe, but most of the time we rode on quiet streets or on sidewalks, and even down a bike path along a river. We learned a lot, we saw a lot, and got to enjoy a cooling breeze while riding on a hot morning. The shifen Falls were magnificent including the suspension bridges to get to the falls. - AussieHolidaysAustralia491 contributionsWe utilised Edison for 4 separate day tours around Taipei and transfers to and from the airport. They left on time, the vehicles were clean and well driven, they covered the itinerary and the guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our tours were in winter and 2 of them were affected by rain. On both occasions the guides modified the agenda and visit timings to minimise the impact of poor weather. The trips were also good value and didn’t include visits to tacky souvenir stores. We also never felt rushed.

From the time we met her until the time we said goodbye we had a great experience. She was warm, friendly and loves her job. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and made sure we had all of our questions answered. As we strolled through the markets she explained the street foods and had us try several different foods of Taiwan. Lief was willing to help and was full of energy and entertaining. The locations were very scenic. My guide was Thomas Wu who did a fantastic job wrangling a large group in at times very crowded places. He was patient, informative and organized. We visited Chiang Kai Shek’s memorial, historic Dihua Street with its bustling market stalls and a fabulous tea shop, and other old town highlights. Over three hours she gave me a great outline of Taipei’fascinating history with great sights.
