Long lines to get in. Expect about a kilometer of walking on steep incline roads to get to entrance. Entry closes after about 2000 visitors each day. So better visit early. There are massive lines trying to get to first cave and people jostling to get ahead on steep steps, which is a recipe for disaster some day!! But the upper cave was worth the hike! Breathtaking views and rock engravings.

While we did not go up the peak the walk to the View Point is easy and has some of the most scenic views which only the eye can capture.

Visited this temple in October 2022, on Amavasya. Very beautiful and ancient temple. The ride from Vythiri is about 2 hours and trough forest areas surrounded by mountains. Both the ride and the temple location is very scenic. Get good prasadam at temple but on communal steel plates - would encourage other visitors to get their own plates. Behind the temple is the river Papasani which was very cool and pleasant. All in all, a serene and spritual experience. Must visit for anyone in the vicinity.

Breath taking view of the Thamarassery Churam is the attraction here. Being on a steep hill road, it has its own dangers to the viewers who are reckless and unmindful of the traffic.

Beautiful falls, the water flow was so strong and a strong flow. Once at the falls you can have a dip in the water . It’s clean and fresh water. Only problem is the route to the falls which is by walk 1 Km but it takes about 45 mins one way as the road is steep and steps are too big. Older people or unfit people would find it difficult and tiring. Better to go after the rainy season so that the falls is not dry.

The tea garden trek followed by the stream and finally to the Banasura hill view trek is a quick 1-1.5 hr trek organised by Banasura Hill resort but it’s worth trying if you want to experience everything about the nature in such a short time.

Most of the things are non functional. The walk around the lake is peaceful. Lake is nothing much to harp about. Not worth the entry tickets. Avoidable.

This place is closed and the locals are very cagey, but after considerable effort and a very dangerous trek through a mostly non existent path, I was at least able to get down to the waterfall and get a great view of the mountains on top.. It wasn't the same view as the view point but it was pretty amazing, particularly getting so close to the waterfall.
That said, it wasn't safe and I wouldn't do it again.. Especially alone.

If you're really set on seeing this place, it's beatiful but it's not easy and you want to start early because you could easily get lost

Almost 2.5 hours of boat safari takes you to different parts of the river adjoining the Nagarhole and Bandipur wildlife sanctuaries. Got see some interesting birds - cormorants, eagles, kingfisher etc....Sightings of monkeys, elaphants and wild boards are pretty regular. If you are lucky might see the predators - tiger, leopard and Indian wild dogs

Meenmutty waterfalls is quite near to Bansura Sagar Dam in wayanad. But unfortunately when we visited in 1st week of November-2019, it was closed for tourist due to landslide. Very disappointing.
The Guard at the ticket counter told us that it will remain closed for 1 more month.
It is probably 10-15 mins walk from the ticket counter.
Pl. check whether it is open for public or not before proceeding.

A very good dam with jeep facilities to the dam on payment.
High speed and slow speed Boat riding available on payment. It was a wonderful experience on a fast speed boat,
It would be suggestive to the authorities to repair road till boating so that people especially senior citizens can easily make it to the boat without difficulty. a slope or proper even steps are required.

The Pazhassi Raja Tomb and the museum offers a chance to learn about the history of the
Pazhassi Raja and his guerilla warfare techniques.
It takes us back to the British Raj and the Independence struggles.
It is a place where you must take your children and give them an oppurtunity about our heroes.
