Mesmerizing and scary (for the people who are scared of heights). Safety is fantastic and the experience is phenomenal

One of the short but sweet treks in Uttarakhand. But much more beautiful if you visit it in winters. The trek is suitable for beginners as it takes around 4-6 hrs to complete. Also depending upon the weather conditions.

We went on the ski lift with my grandparents up to the nanda Devi park. there are sprawling greens, the ski lift is safe and very enjoyable. However, there was a problem with the power that day and we were stuck on the way there in midair for about 5-7 minutes, and had to wait around 15 minutes to be able to go back.

The view from tower no 8 is beautiful and provides almost 270 degree view of Himalayan peaks. Trishul peak is just one of them. You can see Nanda Devi, the most beautiful peak.

Looks great, above from the hils, covered in snow. huge icy mountains in backdrops makes it most mesmerizing.

Like others have suggested it's a must do trek for Amazing Views and sheer loneliness in the mountains. Rather than starting at Sadhar I would recommend starting from Ringi Village since the elevation of climb reduces significantly although distance increases a bit. Also a road is being built to Bhavishya Badri from Ringi Village hence most of the way is well marked and paved.

On 19th March , 2020 , I wanted to visit Vriddha Badri from Blue Poppy Resort , Auli . Any other driver would have taken me to the entrance of the Vriddha Badri mandir ( 1380 m ) at Animath village , 7 km from Joshimath on Auli Rd , Joshimath Army Area , from which I had to ascend to the mandir and descend to the parking place . But my driver , Rai Singh took me to a point on the road and told me to descend to reach the mandir and then further descend to a point where he would pick me up . Looking to my age he guided me to a way where I had not to climb .
In the Vriddha Badri mandir the idol of Lord Vishnu looks like as an old man .
It is believed that Naradji did his penance to please Lord Vishnu . Pleased with the penance of Narada , He appeared as an old man and blessed Narada . Hence the name of this mandir is Vriddha ( old ) Badri ( Lord Vishnu aka Badrinath ) .

Awsome museum to visit with your family. It gives a glimpse of your past history. Not a popular tourist destination but was fun to visit.

I visited this place solo and it was not bad to visit. Best thing was it was not the main tourist destination so the crowd was very less.

Mahavir’s Himalayan High Adventures ticks all the boxes when it comes to escorted Himalayan treks. I recently returned from the trek known as ‘Lord Curzon’s walk’ although Lord Curzon didn’t actually manage it as his party got driven off by wild bees. With the help of Mahavir’s group this outing was transformed into something quite special despite the worst September weather for 60 years, landslides, roads washed away, relentless rain, not to mention attacks by a wild bull which Mahavir’s Team fended off deftly as if it was all in a day’s work. The highlight was the last day covering 16 kilometres lasting 7 hours in driving rain and fog, up and down precipitous mountainsides with one ten minute break (my choice).
Himalayan High Adventures offer everything from homestay accommodation to comfy and secure tent life, porterage, guide, ponies/donkeys, and all the facilities and equipment needed to make a success out of a trip to this part of the Himalayas, whether you are trekking as a superannuated solo traveler as I was or a larger group. Just put your requirements into Mahavir’s hands and leave all the organisation and details to him.
