I did a trek with Mr Dinesh Singh Bisht who is from Ramani, my trek was the oldest trek of India i.e. Lord Curzon Trail via Chejani Pass. This trek was a amazing experience for me exploring the India's oldest Trekking route. The trek started from Ramni and ended in Auli. Mr. Dinesh Singh was very friendly and very experienced guide in the Himalayas. Do contact him for amazing treks +918958084282

One of the short but sweet treks in Uttarakhand. But much more beautiful if you visit it in winters. The trek is suitable for beginners as it takes around 4-6 hrs to complete. Also depending upon the weather conditions.

The view from tower no 8 is beautiful and provides almost 270 degree view of Himalayan peaks. Trishul peak is just one of them. You can see Nanda Devi, the most beautiful peak.

Like others have suggested it's a must do trek for Amazing Views and sheer loneliness in the mountains. Rather than starting at Sadhar I would recommend starting from Ringi Village since the elevation of climb reduces significantly although distance increases a bit. Also a road is being built to Bhavishya Badri from Ringi Village hence most of the way is well marked and paved.

The sacred town of Joshimath is located in the Garhwal Himalayan range in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

One of India's most revered spiritual leaders, Adi Shankaracharya, established Joshimath as one of the four "maths" in the 8th century.

This is a Jyoteshwar Mahadev temple, where Adi Shankaracharya had meditated & got enlightened. It is said he received a vision to reconsecrate Badrinath Dham from the Mandakni River. The tree here is said to be more than 5000 years old, so it is called Kalpvriksh.

The 'Amar Kalpavriksha' is a 'Mulberry' tree and as per Hindu scriptures, Adi Shankaracharya sat under the same tree and worshipped Lord Shiva in then Jyotimath (now Joshimath).

Due to this reason, a temple was established at the base of the tree dedicated to God Shiva. It was named Jyoteshwar Mahadev Temple. Many believe that the tree has the power to grant your wishes! As a result, it allures people, hoping to make their wishes come true.

You can also pay your visit to the cave where Adi Shankaracharya lived for a short period. It is one of the most enticing Joshimath places to visit.

On 19th March , 2020 , I wanted to visit Vriddha Badri from Blue Poppy Resort , Auli . Any other driver would have taken me to the entrance of the Vriddha Badri mandir ( 1380 m ) at Animath village , 7 km from Joshimath on Auli Rd , Joshimath Army Area , from which I had to ascend to the mandir and descend to the parking place . But my driver , Rai Singh took me to a point on the road and told me to descend to reach the mandir and then further descend to a point where he would pick me up . Looking to my age he guided me to a way where I had not to climb .
In the Vriddha Badri mandir the idol of Lord Vishnu looks like as an old man .
It is believed that Naradji did his penance to please Lord Vishnu . Pleased with the penance of Narada , He appeared as an old man and blessed Narada . Hence the name of this mandir is Vriddha ( old ) Badri ( Lord Vishnu aka Badrinath ) .

I visited this place solo and it was not bad to visit. Best thing was it was not the main tourist destination so the crowd was very less.
