I cannot give Tripadvisor a good review but I certainly can give my guide a good review. First, the ad does not say that the trip is from Montevideo. After all, it is a day tour through Punta del Este. So if I ask to be picked up in Punta del Este, I would expect this to happen. I have not been able to check, but I am sure I still have not yet received a refund for this mix-up.
After trying another listing, I find that it too is with Tripadvisor. It stated that a tour was available the next day in English. To make a long story short, after much communication with the guide, I was told that there is no trip with a guide. Now, having had trouble with a refund before, and there not being 24 hours of notice, I se to take the tour in Spanish. This is where I can say something positive. The guide was VERY knowledgeable and most kind. kudos to him, boo to Tripadvisor.
