Highlights include; Cave of Zeus, Knossos Palace, Pottery workshop and craft shop, Lunch in traditional Greek restaurant, 2000 year old Sycamore tree & visit to a Cretan church.
Our tour guide and driver Alexander was so informative & knowledgable. He had a brilliant sense of humour and had us in stitches for the journey! The car journey was so pleasant and he made our day so enjoyable.
Our private guide of Knossos, Maria was an expert in Greek history & mythology. My daughters were fascinated by her tales of Greek mythology eg Icarus & Daedalus, The Minotaur, Zeus.
“Mythical Escape” is money well spent & I cannot recommend it highly enough! - Divedolly3 contributionsHad a wonderful day with Safari Club, especially due to our guide Nektarios being so informative, helpful and attentive. The sights were breathtaking, especially watching dozens of vultures gliding over the gorge, sometimes coming very close. The driver - Kostas, made the trip smoothly and the guide was always willing to help with information !!

Really enjoyed our day out, we were mainly interested in the caves at Matala, but we enjoyed the other 2 stops. Andreas was very informative, funny and intesting. When we were waiting for the pick up, we saw the bus drive by and shortly afterwards Kostas appeared to let us know we were waiting for others to arrive before he brought the bus back to us, which was kind of him.
Would definately use them again, everything very good from the girl booking us in to the drop off back at the hotel.

We were picked up from our hotel by Manu. Had a lovely chat all the way to the diving spot where we met Hani, our dive instructor. He is an amazing person, takes you through the basics around safety and technique that are required for this dive. Made the theory so interesting and interactive and laid a strong basis for what was in store for us on our first experience. The equipment is top notch and well maintained (that is what happens when diving is not happening from Oct till April each year!). The dive was easy and awesome experience. My son (11 years old) not only came of that experience happiest but is more confident and sure to take courses moving forward. Post the dive, we had time to discuss at the dive centre and chilled out. There was no rushing you throughout the whole process. It is geared to make to enjoy the moment and come out confident to go the next yards. LOVED every minute of it and would HIGHLY recommend it to all beginnners who always dreamt of diving but not sure where and with who to start! Dont look further... you have arrived at the right place. Highly professional team, warm and kind hearted. Enjoy Greek hospitality. Thank you Hani, Manu, Elena, Dimitris and rest of the gang! you are awesome. Keep up the great work and spirit of welcoming all of us and making us feel part of the extended family.
