Absolutely beautiful coastline. The red cliffs are stunning. Only criticism is that there are no toilets at the beach.

Spent the morning on this stunning beach which is perfect for couples and family with small children, lovely sandy beach with stunning cliffs in the background very picturesque, plenty of of shops and bars in the local vicinity, the walk down to the beach is quite steep in places

Beautiful sandy beach a short walk and 138 steps down from Porto Bay Falésia hotel (amongst others). There are a few benches on the way to catch your breath and there’s a short sandy track to the beach from the bottom of these steps. There are rentable sun loungers (20 euros per day for two beds and an umbrella) on the beach. Take cash as no card machine, otherwise you’ll have to go back up to the top of the hill to get some 😎. You can rent bodyboards, paddle boards etc from various spots on the beach and we enjoyed a couple of takeaway lunches from the beach cafe and handy toilets there too. Be careful if you are swimming at high tide as there are hidden rocks , probably best to stay near the lifeguard flags. Once you’ve been once you’ll see where these are. Spectacular sand colours on the cliff behind.

The Torre da Medronheira is near Olhos da Agua towards the beach off the main road. It's a square, fort structure possibly used as a watch tower with date of construction unknown but looks perhaps around 18th century. The surrounding area is named after the tower.

Absolutely awful. Clinics get booked up well in advance (same people go and just book the morning clinic for a whole week, meaning if you arrive on a Tuesday you are out of luck). Only one clinic per day. Lots of tennis courts sit empty—they could get pros to do more clinics or events. One padel court. Booking is confusing and haphazard. We got on with our family only to be kicked off 2 minutes later as we were told it wasn’t our booking.
Leaves a lot to be desired.

Not horseback riders in our normal lives, both my husband and I like to challenge ourselves when travelling.
This year our location was the beautiful hills surrounding Albufeira and after some searching we thought we had found the perfect stables and people to take us out.
Boy what an experience, not only did it top off previous years, it also left us with a feeling of being 'riders', it gave us confidence and it allowed us to challenge our limitations and extend our boundaries.

Nidia and Thomas not only know their horses, they have great respect for these beautiful creatures and their surroundings.
Their passion for their work is so obvious, the pride they take in showing you around the area speaks to this as well.
We fell in love with the Algarve this year, partially thanks to Nidia and Thomas and their stunning and well-kept 'family'

Be prepared - this place is vast ! They cater for between 2 and 3 thousand guests in high season so highly personalised service is not on the agenda.Nevertheless, we found the staff to be friendly and the facilities and resort are top class. We had a problem with a delayed check in but Rita handled it well.Given the recent negative reviews on the food offerings we were nervous but did go to the Piri Piri restaurant which was decent.Prices are high which you would expect from this type of property but I'm not sure the quality of the product is at a high enough level.
    Overall - a good experience.
