- Rachel DMatakana, New Zealand7 contributionsA highlight, absolutely stunning even on a wet cold day.
Gate one was the most spectacular, but we managed to do both and loved every minute.Written 25 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. So to reach it faster you'll have to take Entrance 2.
You can take a look at the attached map.
It is definitely worth the effort anyway.
From Entrance 1, your best option to avoid walking more than 2 hours to reach it is to take the boat trip on lake Kozjak and then walk towards the upper lakes. Then you will find it.
Try to visit this Park by good weather, as always, if you want to take good pictures.
Our weather was terrible, unfortunately.
Hope you'll have better luck.Written 28 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This waterfall was one of the most impressive we saw - not quite as tell as the Veliki Slap near entrance 1, but much wider and with a nice picturesque foreground that made it one of my favorites to take pictures of.Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,856 contributionsNamed after a famous opera singer from back in the day, this waterfall is nice b/c you walk right over it, though it's smaller and therefore somewhat less spectacular than quite a few of the other falls in Plitvice.
It's in the Lower Lakes section--or maybe where the Lower Lakes meets the Upper Lakes--so most easily accessed by entering Gate 1, walking down the path, and then meandering along the boardwalk until you're there. Conversely, if you take the long ferry ride from Gate 2, you'd have a relatively short walk from where you'll debark the ferry to here.Written 7 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's not big but the nature here is beautiful. It's not for the very unfit as there are many steps down then a steep walk back up. If you are inside the lakes this would be a good additionWritten 14 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SnowyShastaPortland, OR2,429 contributionsThis lake is basically the lowest in the park, and was my favorite in terms of the color of the water we saw there. Maybe it was the time of day (we reached it about 9 AM), but it had a lovely blue/green color and was still enough to provide reflections.Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ginges_revengeBrisbane, Australia5,862 contributionsAs it was just the end of the winter period, we could only view these falls from the higher path as the lower board walks were still covered in snow and not safe for visitor access. Still, these falls were very impressive and beautiful to see even from a distance. I'll use this as an excuse for another holiday to come back and visit when the park is fully open and you can view these from the lower areas. Still, these falls were a highlight of trip.Written 28 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- fiamma11Tysons Corner, VA5,927 contributionsI consider the entirety of Plitvice to be a must see in one's lifetime. It is simply that beautiful, in fact, almost surreal in its beauty.Written 9 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - fiamma11Tysons Corner, VA5,927 contributionsSometimes I go out of my way to see one beautiful waterfall; however, here one stop unveils many beautiful waterfalls and many beautiful lakes. Mesmerizing. See them all.Written 10 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SnowyShastaPortland, OR2,429 contributionsThis was the last of the lower lakes that we visited before crossing Kozjak and continuing our journey to the upper lakes. I liked the picturesque way that this one had a number of small waterfalls around and feeding it. Every lake in the park is wonderful, though, so try to see them all!Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brittany_11_10Los Angeles, CA1,856 contributionsLocated just across Kozjak Lake from Entrance 2, Burgeti Lakes will be the first lakes you come across in the Upper Lakes area of the park (if you're using Entrance 2 as your starting point).
Beautiful clear (yet also blue--not sure about the chemistry on that one but I reckon it has something to do with algea?) water, as you'll see with all the lakes.Written 8 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
