- NandieMiddelburg, South Africa18 contributionsIf you have a boat, this is a lovely place to visit. Pack a picnic basket, get on your boat and explore the dam while you sip on your cola. If you do this you will certainly be rewarded with wildlife coming to drink water. Remember the sunscreen and hats. If if gets windy, head for the jetty. This is not a dam to be misjudged when a storm strikes.Written 9 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stephanie Y.Singapore, Singapore81 contributionsIt is a pretty small farm with free roaming poultry. The farm has a handful of bunnies which are very hungry, constantly looking for food handed by visitors. There is a lactating bunny mommy who has no food or hay in the little cage that holds the family of 5, including 4 baby bunnies. One of bunnies has skin infection and not sure if it is taken care of.
Besides that, it is a good experience for young children who lacks opportunities to see how a kampung looks like.Written 8 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TypinMiddelburg, South Africa13 contributionsThis is a good place to visit. Have many bird species. They also have a restaurant and other shops for goodies. It just needs a little more maintenance.Written 15 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Marius BMiddelburg, South Africa12 contributionsThe four of us drove from Middelburg past Doornkop informal settlement to the Zip X site. The road is a little rough, but we managed to get to the venue with a Suzuki Swift.
At the reception we were greeted by Thys, the owner. He showed us around and offered us water and soda.
The instructor explained the procedure and we were all fitted with a harness with a matching helmet and gloves. You can also rent camera equipment to film your experience.
Just outside the gate we got ready for the first Zip. That is number one of seven. I was hooked to the cable after the first instructor Zipped to the next platform. The first zip was slow, just to get used to it. After that it went faster and longer.
The instructors took good care of us. All the way to the bottom. At the last platform, Thys waited for us with is 4x4 bakkie. He offered us ice cold water and then we drove back to the reception area. Here we bought some cold drinks and waited until the legs stopped shaking. There are card facilities available for payments. What a good experience it was. We will be back. Thanks Zip X!Written 18 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
