It is small but still a beautiful waterfall. There is a pond also in front of the waterfalls where one can take a dip (not sure if it is legal or healthy). Reaching the place requires walking a short distance on an unstable path, so not recommended for old people.

A temple situated on a hill, 250mtrs climb is heavy, weather was pleasant so it took 25min to reach the temple. For first timers, visit Shakti peeth & proceed to Mahadev temple. Beware of monkeys

Offbeat & one of a kind experience. It was lovely seeing the planets and stars live in the sky. We also learnt a lot about astronomy and its connection to astrology. For better experience recommended to visit on full Moon day.

My parents moved to Mukteswar in 1949. I was 5 years old. My father worked in engineering department that supplied gas and electricity to the institute. My elder brother joined the institute and served about 40 years. At an early childhood, I made up my mind to chose veterinary profession. Due to financial support of my father and elder brother I finished B.V.Sc&A.H from Mhow and obtained Master’s in bacteriology from I.VR.I, Mukteshwar in 1967. I enjoyed life in Mukteswar and left the position of Assistant Bacteriologist in 1972 for higher studies in U.SA. I miss Mukteswar life and old friends / families.

Last year, my nephew accompanied me for the visit to Mukteswar. There has been a tremendous changes in Mukteswar. It is a natural tourist place with fresh air and a clean environment.

I love my childhood home IVRI, Mukteswar.

Had gone there to photograph Himalaya range.
IB is located at a very strategic place. Looked neat but lot of construction work was going on because of non=peak season.
Corbett cottage was neat though the original look has been covered by new plaster.
View of the range is fantastic. Managed to take a lot of photographs because of the clear sky

We came here for Darshan with a day stay plan but extended our visit for three days seeing the beautiful valley, snow capped mountains, orchards, long trails to walk and track, one of the most spectacular place having Digambar jain temple with adjoining three star equal resort of 17 rooms and a jain restaurant, available of jain food and tea coffee. Pandit ji Mahavirji jain is a disciples of acharya shri Gurukul in Jabalpur, we had every day abhishek shantidhara poojan in his exceptional well performed kriya with mantra and shuddhi. Ajay jain ji is the key person here who is taking care of temple and resort. Families who are religious and wants to stay away from the hustle and bustle of cities can stay here with their families for two three days , there’s no malls or Mall Road or shopping etc just chill in tranquility with dev Darshan. It’s a hill station with jain temple.

I have been taking chocolates from their shop at Mountain trail resort. During my latest visit I found that the shop has been shifted, couldn’t understand why. Nevertheless I picked my usual known choices from there. No change in taste absolutely.

Very good quality of products. Must visit to buy local products as gifts back home. The woolens are very pretty and intricately woven. The organic jams, jellies and conserves are a must buy.
