Outstanding experience and marvel of ancient times. The site is so well worth spending the day there and we had the most superb tour guide Mr Logananthan. His knowledge was just superb and he was great fun to spend the day with.

Don’t cut short the experience. There is so much to learn from this site.

U dont need to buy a ticket to view this marvel. Just walk into the road adjacent to the Group of Monuments, its a open air display for all. Its mesmerising n awe inspiring, how such carving for done thousands of years ago. I wish I knew d entire depiction, would suggest hire a guide if ur curious, Google isnt much help to know d legend. Picture perfect

Woah!! What an experience! How is it just standing like that on a slope, all u can do is just wonder. It was raining when we visited, that added to the whole experience. But the slope got a bit slippery so take care. U have to buy a 35/- ticket which works for all monuments in Mahabalipuram.

The crocodile bank is quite a nice play for nature lovers. There are hundreds of crocodiles, snakes and turtles in this conservation centre. The maintenance is pretty good.

Great view of the sea & the countryside but not worth the long journey from Chennai.
Tickets at entrance & then a spiral staircase. Beware they ask to see the ticket again at the top- whatever for? Compele time wasting. How ridiculous. I could hardly have got in through the barred windows!
Bothering me after climbing up, hot & bothered! Typical uneducated stupidity!

Beach with some Goa like vibes but less crowded, cleanliness is ok,have many sea facing sea food restaurants with reasonably priced, can also check fishermen arrivING and departing to sea for fishing.Sore temple is also walking from beach.Avoid strolling late night.

This place has some rock carvings. There is connection to the beach where you can spend good time and to do some activities. Some shops are also available.

It's all very nice but I would not class this as one of ndia's most important historic sites.
There was nothing here when I came in 1984. Just a few rocks & a dosa shop.
