Moderately difficult trek. Trail is clean and litter free.
Remember to carry enough water and snacks as there are no vendors after the first 200 m. The canteen run by ladies, right after you enter the bird sanctuary gate is highly recommended - esp the poha and vada pav.
No washrooms on the way either. So make the most of the washroom available right at the entrance.
Wear excellent shoes. It's quite warm throughout the year, with little tree cover on the way. So no need to carry jackets, even in winter.
The final leg, at the fort itself, does seem daunting. But it's worth it. Find a spot and sit down for a few moments of calm, eating your snacks and clicking some gorgeous pics

The vastness of the park hits you slowly… SMART eco park At Panvel is a paradise at Mumbais doorstep. They have lived up to their name… it’s very smartly designed… each zone very well thought through and beautifully executed… and since it’s a eco park… everyone should visit it at least once to understand why nature and having a strong eco system is the only solution for our future generations and us… rain water harvesting, purification of water, the whole drainage of water, the variety of flora fauna that has been planted and which generates life cycles of various species is just mind boggling at the same time absolutely humbling. I was in Mumbai for 3 days and all I could hear was honking… a morning at the SMART park just rejuvenated me.
The highlight for me was the Gaushala… the hygiene that was maintained there was commendable… inspite of so many cows… there was no stench. Was totally bowled over by the GIR COWS… and why they are one of the best species.
I was expecting lots of mosquitoes and since it was summer crazy sun too but the thoughtful plantations has made the park nice and shady and because of the awesome maintenance of the farm there was no bad experience of mosquitoes 👍
Beautiful cottages… hope to stay there on one of my trips to India. The food was scrumptious and absolutely mouthwatering, finger licking delicious food prepared with hygiene standards better than some of the so called fancy restaurants that I visited.
Kudos to the whole team who have dedicated their life to this cause to make our future better. It was one of the most memorable experience… a must visit place
