Durga Devi is not one of the preferred zones for tiger sighting. It does not offer a terrain with wide views like other zones like Bijrani, Dikala and other zones like in Corbett National Park, Ramnagar, India. But the steep descend into the valley from the entry gate and, river crossings and the hill climbs do revel the enough smaller animals and birds making the drive very engaging. I saw a barking deer, sambhar deer, mahaseer fish, eagle and a elephant from a distance. The entry gate is about 30 km from Rmanagar and is part of the Lansdowne Range so the safari vehicle charges are a bit higher at Rs. 2500/- . If you love nature, this is as good a zone as any other in Corbett Tiger Reserve. .
