It was a very pleasant visit; it’s a very family friendly place. The staff was very kind, from the guides to the young receptionist, you can tell they are passionate about their work. I definitely recommend it.

Lilander is amazing. Several of us had never ridden horses but Lilander and his Appaloosas made it easy. Great views, amazing private waterfall. However, the last walking stretch is not for the unprepared- it is nearly straight down to the waterfall. Which is great until you have to go back up! Worth the soreness today. Go see Lilander!

We spent two weeks volunteering at Tomas‘ finca in the middle of the jungle and we’re so glad we did! Not only did we have a very tranquil and interesting time at the permaculture farm, but Tomas also inspired us with his vast knowledge about all things growing and preserving food, permaculture and health. We’re very happy to have met Tomas and his lovely family as well as Pajero and to have experienced the Costa Rican jungle in a very unique way by getting fully immersed in nature and to have taken so much inspiration from the exchange. Thanks for being so kind, generous and uncomplicated, pura vida!

    2025-March.

Our pre-arranged kayaking excursion, facilitated by Luis of Costa Rica To Go, commenced with hotel pickup and transport to the location. Our only preparation involved dressing up in swimwear.

Robinson, of Kayak Paradise, provided excellent service. Following the provision of life vests and a concise instructional briefing, he assisted us into our kayaks and launched us onto the river. My thirteen-year-old son and I shared one kayak, while my husband utilized a separate kayak.

The water exhibited a tranquil surface. The vista was breathtaking. My passion for photography made this location idyllic.

Restroom and changing facilities were available.

This is an experience of exceptional merit.

    Have a great day!

Walter and his employees were great assisting us with our rental and with advice on places to go and eat in the area. They are located in a perfect spot if you are just getting into the area. Highly recommend stopping by and/or using them to assist in locating rentals and activities. My wife also went to Agustin’s wife for massages.

We definitely recommend this horseback riding experience! We had a group of 7, including an 8 yr old, all of us with very little horse background, but our little adventure was PERFECT. Guillermo was ready for us, matched us up to his horses, and led us along the main road in Castillo. We followed in line and forded the river, continuing on an even quieter stretch of road. Ultimately, we turned around, where the horses knew to start trotting back. My 8 yr old son said this was his favorite experience of the whole 9-day trip. We were very happy altogether. Muchas gracias, Guillermo!
